Adjustment: 👉 Reduce your share of associate’s profit by $300 👉 Reduce carrying amount of investment by $300 Not the full $1,000. If you eliminate 100%, you’ve treated it like a subsidiary — and that’s wrong. IAS 28 is about influence, not control. And the accounting must reflect exactly that level of power.
