In this episode, I interview Nick Hutchison of BookThinkers. This was a fun conversation for me because as much as I love reading (with my ears via audiobook lol), I never really think about why. Why do I like it? What do I like about it? Do I read for learning? pleasure? escape? all of the above??

Nick and I both came to reading as young adults - never taking the time to read as kids or teens, but as we entered adulthood, we both turned to reading as a relatively simple way to cultivate more depth, purpose, and self-development. Nick's view on books is so refreshing and inspiring - his book Rise of the Reader teaches you how to leverage the wisdom contained in books to get the most out of your reading experience. Chelsea's neurodivergent, a true creative, and a great example of someone who didn't let perceived limitations stand in the way of dreams, despite the external judgments and expectations!! Chelsea's a fellow Human Design Projector like me and this conversation is all about how polarizing it can be to simply live authentically as yourself.

We talk about interpersonal connection, transformation, healing trauma, mutual support, intuition, identities/labels, and how undiagnosed neurodivergence led to burnout BUT ALSO an awakening and reconnection to self + gifts + purpose!

One of my favorite messages from this conversation: the path of standing in your truth is NOT the path of least resistance; it's the path of greatest alignment.
