    Arts Hub Show 12/03/23

    This week we delve into 19th Century London with William Blakes "Dante Running from Three Beasts" from 1824-27. This watercolour work is part of Blake's illustration collection for Dante's classic 14th Century epic poem 'Divine Comedy'. In the Arts Hub Bulletin we cover Noir Kei Ninomiya's 2023 Winter runway collection, 'Noir in Bloom', possibly the most interesting thing happening in the fashion world at present! The show also touches upon the release of the Eurovision song contest tickets and the national lotteries decision to award 12,000 out to the public! What are you waiting for?     This week we transport back to early 20th Century Glasgow with 'The Three Perfumes' by Margaret Macdonald Machintosh from 1912! Art Nouveau, ancient celtic revivalism, la fin de siècle and women in art are a few of the topics brought to light in this weeks show so go on, grab a cuppa, and engage in a parasocial chit chat with me, Esmé.

    Arts Hub Show 19/02/23

    Join me in a journey through the nonsensical, weird and wonderful world of Dr. Suess with his painting 'Every Girl Should Have a Unicorn' from 1965. This week we tackle the rich and complex Suessian world and his secret series of 'Midnight Paintings'. On the hour we have our usual 3 in 1 story through song which celebrates some gorgeous music. And Finally in the Arts Hub Bulletin we tackle a local exhibition in Edinburgh, 365: stories and music, showcasing local Scottish talent as well as conquer the question of artificial intelligence artwork with the artist Refik Anadol!

    Arts Hub Show 11/02/23

    Join me in a decent down the rabbit hole as I discuss our artwork of the week; Salvador Dalí's stunning 'Wonderland' illustrations from 1969. In this weeks show we ponder the question of surrealism and whether Lewis Carroll got there first! Moreover, our on the hour, 3 in 1, story through song segment is back with three beautiful songs. And finally in the Arts Hub Bulletin we explore local arts happenings in Edinburgh such as Edinburgh's puppet festival, 'Manipulate' and a local exhibition in Summerhall, 'Feminine Futures: Ukraine, War and Dystopia'.

In the Arts Hub bulletin this week I was in conversation with Dominic continuing the discussion of soup throwing climate activists, a cast of Princess Diana's hand and the record breaking selling of former Paul Allen's art collection selling at 1.3 Billion pounds!
