  1. The Collective Mind

    24/11/2020

    The Collective Mind

We're very different from one another in terms of culture, education, perception, and many other aspects. Or aren't we? Meet The Collective Mind or How we're more alike than different. We are motivated by more than just primitive urges, as Maslow pointed out. People are driven by a 'will to meaning'. We have the freedom to decide for ourselves how our surroundings affect us. We can choose to interpret events so that they have meaning to us. We think in the same way. We behave in the same way. The only aspects that separate us are superficial contemporary doctrines. We'll always be caught between worlds, between our past and our future, dealing with our significant global problems. The way we're going to address these will define the future of all humankind. Tune in to discover how we're sharing a collective mind, on both a conscious and an unconscious level, and what we should do with it. --- FOLLOW DESIGN TOKENS ๐Ÿ“ท Instagram https://www.instagram.com/designtokens/ ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Spotify https://open.spotify.com/show/14gGpVC373RHTFRUDc3suQ Apple Podcasts https://podcasts.apple.com/ro/podcast/design-tokens/id1537184304 Google Podcasts https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy5zb3VuZGNsb3VkLmNvbS91c2Vycy9zb3VuZGNsb3VkOnVzZXJzOjg5NDUwODk5Ni9zb3VuZHMucnNz --- CREDITS ๐ŸŽง Music By DJ Quads: Dreams https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrJD8nC_kLM ๐Ÿ–๏ธ Illustration by Zach 1: Work scene illustration https://ui8.net/zach-1 --- #designtokens #growth #growthmindset #selfimprovement #inspiration #cowork #designthinking #diversity #inclusion #culture #leadershipdevelopment #leadership #transformation #empowerment #creative #education

    10/11/2020

    Dunbar's Number

To how many people are we bound? Is it possible to interact with everyone we know? We have the family, the extended family, friends, colleagues, neighbors, acquaintances, and social media connections. Is there a limit on how many people we accept in our social group? Actually, yes, and it's called Dunbar's Number. It explains our limitations regarding planning, decision-making, coping, even focus and attention - basically our cognitive limitations. It helps us focus on what matters, but we also need to find ways around it when fighting for people's attention. Tune in to discover more about how our brain is guiding our focus on one person at a time, making sure our relationships are meaningful and contribute to our wellbeing. --- FOLLOW DESIGN TOKENS ๐Ÿ“ท Instagram https://www.instagram.com/designtokens/ ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Spotify https://open.spotify.com/show/14gGpVC373RHTFRUDc3suQ Apple Podcasts https://podcasts.apple.com/ro/podcast/design-tokens/id1537184304 Google Podcasts https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy5zb3VuZGNsb3VkLmNvbS91c2Vycy9zb3VuZGNsb3VkOnVzZXJzOjg5NDUwODk5Ni9zb3VuZHMucnNz --- CREDITS ๐ŸŽง Music By DJ Quads: Dreams https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrJD8nC_kLM ๐Ÿ–๏ธ Illustration by Zach 1: Work scene illustration https://ui8.net/zach-1 --- #designtokens #growth #growthmindset #selfimprovement #inspiration #cowork #designthinking #diversity #inclusion #culture #leadershipdevelopment #leadership #transformation #empowerment #creative #education
