    أهلا وسهلا فيكن بالحلقة الرابعة من الموسم التالت: "العودة لسوريا الحرة من بشار الأسد وعيلته." ضيفنا اليوم هو زهير جزماتي، أو الدي جي زانكس أتاكز، المعروف كمان بـ زوزو. زهير هو منظم فعاليات، دي جي، مقدم، ومثقف أو مدرب سياسي. درس "سياسات الشرق الأدنى والأوسط" بماربورغ وبالقاهرة، وكمل دراسته بـLSE - كلية لندن للاقتصاد. من سنين، زهير عم يشتغل بشكل مكثف على مواضيع مثل العنصرية، وخاصة المعادية للمسلمين، الاستعمار واستمراريته، سوريا، والتقاطعية. بـ ٢٠٢٣، بلّش زهير يشتغل مع قديرة، ومن فينا ببرلين ما بيعرف قديرة؟ كشريك وكدي جي، بعد تجربة مع كوير أراب بارتي. من وقتها، صار يشارك بعدد كبير من الحفلات، غالبًا بخلط موسيقى البوب العربي. وكمان كان واحد من مقدمي بودكاست "BBQ – البودكاست الكويري." زهير حلبي بس مولود ببرلين. Welcome to the fourth episode of season three: The Return to a Free Syria, Free from Bashar al-Assad and His Family. Our guest today is Zohair Jazmati, also known as DJ Xanax Attacks, or simply Zozo. Zohair is an event organizer, DJ, presenter, and political educator or trainer. He studied "Near and Middle Eastern Politics" in Marburg and Cairo, and later at the London School of Economics. For many years, Zohair has been deeply engaged with topics like racism (especially anti-Muslim racism), colonialism and its afterlives, Syria, and intersectionality. In 2023, Zohair began working with Qadira and who in Berlin doesn’t know Qadira? as both a partner and fellow DJ, following a previous collaboration with Queer Arab Party. Since then, he has performed at numerous events, often mixing Arabic pop music. He was also one of the hosts of the podcast "BBQ – The Queer Podcast." Zohair is originally from Halab (Aleppo) but was born in Berlin.

    Willkommen zu einer neuen Folge vom Sonnenallee Podcast! Extra für diese Folge sprechen wir in gebrochenem Deutsch! Ferat Koçak ist Aktivist und Politiker. Er war von 2021 bis 2025 Mitglied des Berliner Abgeordnetenhauses und ist seit 2025 Mitglied des Deutschen Bundestages. Er gewann das Direktmandat im Wahlkreis Neukölln und ist damit der erste Politiker der Linken, der einen Wahlkreis außerhalb der ehemaligen DDR gewann. Ferat kommt aus Neukölln. Seine Wurzeln liegen in Anatolien – sein Großvater hat hier im Straßenbau gearbeitet, sein Vater war Gewerkschafter, seine Mutter feministisch aktiv. All das hat ihn stark geprägt. Ferat ist jemand, der Politik von unten denkt: nah dran an den Leuten, mit klarer Haltung gegen Rassismus, für soziale Gerechtigkeit und bezahlbares Wohnen. Und wenn er im Wahlkampf unterwegs ist, dann klingelt er lieber an Haustüren, als Plakate aufzuhängen – weil’s ihm um echten Kontakt geht. أهلا وسهلا بحلقة جديدة من بودكاست شارع العرب! خصيصاً لهالحلقة، رح نحكي ألماني مكسّر! فرات كوتشاك هو ناشط وسياسي. كان عضو ببرلمان برلين من 2021 لـ 2025، ومن 2025 هو عضو بالبرلمان الألماني. فاز بالمقعد المباشر عن دائرة نويكولن، وهيك صار أول سياسي من حزب اليسار بيفوز بدائرة خارج ألمانيا الشرقية السابقة. فرات من نويكولن، وأصوله من الأناضول – جده كان يشتغل بتعبيد الشوارع هون وأبوه كان نقابي وأمه ناشطة نسوية. كل هالشي شكّل شخصيته. فرات قريب من الناس، بموقف واضح ضد العنصرية، ومع العدالة الاجتماعية والسكن اللي الناس تقدر تدفعه. وبالحملات الانتخابية، بيفضّل يدق أبواب البيوت، بدل ما يعلّق بوسترات – لأنه بهمه يتواصل فعلياً مع الناس. Welcome to a new episode of the Sonnenallee Podcast! Especially for this episode, we're speaking in broken German! Ferat Koçak is an activist and politician. He was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 2021 to 2025, and since 2025, he has been a member of the German Parliament. He won the direct mandate for the Neukölln constituency, making him the first politician from the Left Party to win a district outside the former East Germany. Ferat is from Neukölln, with roots in Anatolia – his grandfather worked in road construction here, his father was a trade unionist, and his mother was active in feminism. All of that deeply shaped him. Ferat thinks of politics from below: close to the people, with a clear stance against racism, for social justice, and affordable housing. And when he’s on the campaign trail, he prefers knocking on doors to hanging up posters – because he cares about real contact with people.

    أهلا وسهلا فيكن بالحلقة الثانية من الموسم الثالث: العودة لسوريا الحرة من بشار الأسد وعيلته.  ليلان بنت سورية كردية، خلقت وربيت بركن الدين بدمشق. درست ترجمة بجامعة دمشق واشتغلت بالمجال بسوريا قبل ما تسافر ع ألمانيا من ١٠ سنين، وع برلين من سنتين. هلأ عم تعمل ماستر بالعلاقات الدولية ببرلين. بتحب كل أطفال العالم وبتزرع ورد وين ما راحت. أهلها أكراد، أبوها من الدرباسية وأمها من القامشلي. طلعت من سوريا بآخر ٢٠١٢ لأنو أبوها كان مطلوب للنظام. وصلت ع ألمانيا وعاشت بكولن، ومن هونيك درست علوم سياسية بفرايبورغ، قبل ما تنتقل ع برلين مشان الماستر. كل هالتفاصيل وغيرها رح نناقشها بهالحلقة، فخليكن معنا! Welcome to the second episode of the third season: The Return to a Free Syria, Free from Bashar al-Assad and His Family. Leylan is a Syrian Kurdish woman, born and raised in Rukn al-Din, Damascus. She studied translation at Damascus University and worked in the field in Syria before moving to Germany ten years ago. She has been in Berlin for two years now, currently pursuing a master’s degree in international relations. She loves all children of the world and plants flowers wherever she goes. Her parents are Kurds—her father is from Al-Darbasiyah, and her mother is from Qamishli. She left Syria in late 2012 because her father was wanted by the regime. She arrived in Germany and lived in Cologne, where she studied political science in Freiburg before moving to Berlin for her master’s degree. We will be discussing all these details and more in this episode, so stay tuned!

Welcome to the first episode of Season 3: The Return to a Free Syria from Bashar Al-Assad and His Family. In this episode, we will talk about the journey of Tareq Alaows, a human rights activist and political spokesperson for refugee affairs. Born in Syria, Tareq was forced to leave his country in 2015 and seek refuge in Germany. Since then, he has been working on everything related to asylum policies here. In 2018, he moved to Berlin, and three years later, in 2021, he announced his candidacy for the German parliament, becoming the first Syrian refugee to run for this position with the Green Party. How was his journey? What challenges did he face? And what does he see for the future of refugees in Germany? We’ll discuss all this and more in this episode—so stay tuned!

    بهالحلقة الختامية اللي تسجلت ضمن Podfest Berlin ب House of Color رح نغوص بكواليس پودكاست "شارع العرب" يلي بلّش بفكرة من عماد ضمن رسالة الدكتوراه اللي بعده عم يكتبها. هالحلقة بتجمع فريق الپودكاست بسام وهبة وعماد اللي بيخبرونا عن التجربة العامة وبيعرفونا عن تاريخ الشارع مع حلقات أبو يوسف وفوتو فريد بالإضافة لقصص وتجارب نساء متنوعة من قصة هند، لمريم، سنا، علا، زهور، أروى، مايا، وهبة. أما الحلقات الكويرية فبتجمع ميكاييلا وحسندرا بحديث صادق وملهم. برلين الفلسطينية كانت حاضرة وبقوة مع همت وقاسم، والحلقات السياسية فتحت ملفات حساسة حول العنصرية والعمالة مع شحرور، سامر، عيسى وشادي. ما نسينا نحكي عن تحديات الإنتاج المستقل ومشاكل التمويل يلي واجهناها، ونشكر ماهر يلي اهتمّ بالموسيقى والصوت، وزين يلي ساعدنا بالترجمة، وكل مين شاركنا الرحلة. پودكاست "شارع العرب" هو مساحة لكل الأصوات والقصص يلي بتجمعنا. تابعونا لتسمعوا الحكايات يلي بتخلّي هالشارع أكتر من مجرد عنوان! In this final episode, recorded during Podfest Berlin at House of Color, we dive behind the scenes of the Sonnenallee Podcast, initiated by Imad as part of his ongoing doctoral research. This episode brings together the podcast team—Bassem, Hiba, and Imad—who share their overall experience and introduce us to the history of the street through episodes featuring Abu Yousef and Foto Farid. It also highlights diverse womxn's stories, from Hend to Meriame, Sana, Ola, Zuhour, Arwa, Maya, and Hiba. The queer episodes feature heartfelt and inspiring conversations with Michaela and Hassandra. Palestinian Berlin is front and center with Himmat and Qassem, while the political episodes tackle sensitive topics such as racism and labor struggles with Chahrour, Samer, Issa, and Shady. We didn’t forget to discuss the challenges of independent production and the funding issues we faced, and we extend our thanks to Maher, who handled the music and sound, Zain, who helped with translation, and everyone who joined us on this journey.     قاسم المصري طبيب وناشط فلسطيني من قطاع غزة، بيعيش ببرلين من عشرين عام تقريباً، درس الطب بألمانيا وتخصص بطب الأطفال. بالإضافة لعمله كطبيب هو أحد منظمي ومؤسسي مهرجان صوت الثقافي في برلين  بالإضافة إلى أنه كان ناشط في حركة فلسطين بتحكي. في هذه الحلقة بياخذنا قاسم برحلة بين الماضي والحاضر ليخبرنا عن انطباعاته الأولى بمدينة برلين بالإضافة لطفولته ومراهقته بقطاع غزة وكيف أصبحت برلين وطناً لكثيرين من العرب ومتحدثي اللغة العربية وغيرهم. من خلال الحلقة اح نتعرف على تأثير إللي عم يصير بغزة على شارع العر. وكيف صار هالشارع نقطة إلتقاء كل المظاهرات الداعمة للقضية الفلسطينية بالمدينة. تم إنتاج هذه الحلقة  بدعم من راديو أثير كجزء من منح الإنتاج الصوتي بتمويل من الاتحاد الأوروبي ومعهد غوته. - Qassem Massri is a Palestinian doctor and activist from the Gaza Strip. He has lived in Berlin for nearly twenty years. He studied medicine in Germany and specialized in pediatrics. In addition to his work as a doctor, he is one of the organizers and founders of the SAOTCultural Festival in Berlin, in addition to being an activist in the Palestine Talks movement. In this episode, Qassim takes us on a journey between the past and the present to tell us about his first impressions of Berlin, in addition to his childhood and adolescence in the Gaza Strip, and how Berlin became a homeland for many Arabs, Arabic speakers, and others. Through the episode, we will learn about the impact of what is happening in Gaza on Sonnenallee. How did this street become the meeting point for all demonstrations in support of the Palestinian cause in the city? This episode was produced with support from Radio Atheer as part of audio production grants funded by the European Union and the Goethe-Institut.

    حسندرا هي فنانة لبنانية مقيمة ببرلين منذ عام 2017. تخصصت بمجال المسرح بالجامعة اللبنانية وبعدها انتقلت إلى برلين وبدأت مسيرتها الفنية بميادين المسرح، الرقص والدراغ. شاركت حسندرا تأسيس كوير آراب بارتي، Critical Queer Solidarity كما فازت أيضا بلقب Mx. Kotti عام 2019. هي حالياً زميلة بعالم البودكاست ببودكاستها Baby I’m Home ومؤسسة حفلة قديرة ومهرجان قديرة للدراغ اللي رح نحكي عنه اليوم بظل تقلّص الفرص الفنية بالمدينة ومحاولات تكميم الجماعات العربية ان كان بالحياة العامة بالشارع أو بكافة الميادين التانية. Hassandra is a Lebanese artist based in Berlin since 2017. They majored in theater at the Lebanese University and then moved to Berlin, where they began their career in theater, dance, and drag. Hassandra has co-founded Queer Arab Party, Critical Queer Solidarity, and won the title of Mx. Kotti in 2019. She is currently a fellow podcaster with her podcast "Baby I'm home" and the founder of the Adira Party and the Adira Drag Festival, which we will talk about today in light of the lack of artistic opportunities in the city and the attempts to silence Arabic-speaking communities, whether in public life, on the street, or in any other field.

    فريد مصوّر فلسطيني معروف بشارع العرب. فوتو فريد مش بس محل تصوير، هو من أول الشهود على بدايات الشارع وتغييراته الكتيرة. بالمحلّ صور إقاماتنا الكتيرة وباسبوراتنا التقيلة، وذكريات أفراح الجماعات العربية المتنوعة عبر السنين الطويلة بالغربة. عن هالصور وتاريخ الشارع اللي مخزّن بفوتو فريد، رح نحكي اليوم.  Farid is a Palestinian photographer known in the Arab Street. Foto Farid is not only a photography studio, it is one of the primary witnesses to the history of the street and its many evolutions. In the studio are pictures of our many visa applications, our heavy passports, and memories of weddings and celebrations of various Arab groups over their long years of migration/estrangement. In this episode we talk about the street, its history, and photographic encounters.
