So much of comedy is based on shared values. In these times of extreme greed and the normalization of fascism, it’s a needed relief to hear a podcast like Behind the Bastards, where we’re allowed to laugh at the absurd expressions of contemporary evils.

I love the premise and being exposed to interesting stories that contextualize characters I’ve heard of but never read about. However, the host, Rob Evans is pretentious, unoriginal and painfully trite that he doesn’t do the concept justice. His ignorant generalizations are sometime so abstract that one could imagine a Joe Rogan-listening college kid being convinced. He also insists on mispronouncing any word without standard phonetics. He calls Ukraine ‘THE Ukraine’. He will intentionally fumble in every introduction and transition to advertisement. He hates himself for having ads bc CAPITALISM😭😭 but every ad is another leftist podcast
