COTU [Citizen of the universe] DJ producer Labels: Tierra Sounds | kośa | MŎNɅDɅ | Cafe De Anatolia | ➤ COTU was born and raised in Russia’s Far East but always felt like a Citizen of the Universe. His life changed on New Year’s Eve 2016 at the SIMIRAM Festival in Koh Phangan, Thailand, where his first electronic music festival experience revealed the powerful sense of unity, freedom, and connection that lives on the dancefloor. Later, after moving to the United States, COTU discovered DJing during a challenging period in his life. What began as a form of therapy became a way to heal, express himself, and connect with others through music. Today, COTU creates sets that tell stories—guiding listeners through deep emotions, introspective moments, and uplifting energy. Inspired by that unforgettable sunrise in Thailand, he uses music to bring people together and celebrate the universal spirit of the dancefloor. Since then, he's played coast to coast—from underground warehouse raves in LA and iconic Clinic Wednesdays, Boga Venice, Members, Kateen to Minimal Effort at the Globe Theater, California's Deseract gatherings, festivals in the Mojave Desert, Bombay Beach, and the legendary Burning Man Playa (House of Love, Luna Art Crane, Camp Dacha, PG Squirt House, 1001 Nights , Tree Of Life , SoulSound , Kuker Art Car , Vitruvian Lounge , Bloom Camp). He’s even brought his deep, storytelling sets to Do Not Sit On The Furniture, the beloved Florida-born iconic club, and to NYC Speak Softly. From Cosmovision and Flow Music( among the side with artists like DOTB, Nick Warren , Milo Häflinger , Just Emma , ÜNAM , Pulli & Chomba , Seth Schwarz, The Oddness and many more ) to House Music with Love, Deep House Vancouver, Deep House Moscow and Kośa, being featured as Artist of the Week on Frisky Radio along the side with artists like Death on the Balcony, Armen Miran, Wild Dark , Jody Wisternoff , Borak , Sailor & I , Nicolas Rada and many more… His mixes have found a home worldwide. In 2024, he began releasing his own tracks ...
