Recently when I was having Feelings about Diana Wynne Jones (as happens every now and then) I searched for podcasts about her. I discovered a lot of interesting episodes, and I have to say thet this podcast (in its entirety) was my favourite find.
I’ve been bouncing around listening to the episodes that I’ve actually read the books for (and was really delighted to find my own national treasure Ronja Rövardotter!) and it’s just such a delight. It’s the perfect mix of analysis, nostalgia, silliness and just the right amount of enthusiasm about butter-pies and all other sorts of food.
Listening to a podcast that’s been out a while is also a lot of fun, because the story of the podcasters themselves becomes more clear when it’s compressed to a couple of days of binge-listening. You seem like such just genuinely lovely people, and it’s a real joy to hang out with you in this way.
