Today on our Grace at LAST podcast we look at prayer. Often times prayer is taught in steps and formulas,
and we create prayer lists to be sure we are covering all of the important areas of life. But is that anywhere in the Bible? Does scripture support these disciplines that we do that often times, make us feel holy and obedient? Is this something that pleases God and does He expect us all to get up early in the morning and pray? After all, Jesus did. Afterall He has done for you, can you not even sacrifice some sleep to spend with Jesus? These may sound silly, but it Is real and it is often times exactly what is being passed down. Today on the Grace at LAST podcast we look at church attendance and ask if God is more pleased when I participate? Are the messages that are coming from the pulpit centered around the new covenant, which is the blood of Jesus, or is it more about fear to try and stir up obedience from the people? Is manipulation going out in an effort for pastors and entrepreneurs to build an empire and how can I train myself to discern good from evil? What really makes me right with God and how can I understand that more so I can believe it and live considering the new covenant? How can I be confident that Jesus was the final sacrifice, and I don’t need to ask for forgiveness? I know the promises of God are good, but how do I get there? We also talked about other truths surrounding the resurrection of the Christ and what it really means when we celebrate Good Friday and Easter. Today we looked our starting place and when the new covenant begins.  Does Jesus tell us to follow all His commandments, or does He say the new covenant began when He died? What is our inheritance and how can I know that I can start spending it today? We explore the necessity for forgiveness to be possible and how we go about receiving it from the Lord when we mess up. We also look at prayers that make sense, so we don’t waste our time asking for things we already have.  How does God feel about my sin and how can I get in agreement with Him? On today’s Grace at LAST podcast, we looked at how God feels about us living to the fullest. Does God desire for me to decrease so there is more of Jesus and less of me? I believe God created us all unique and special and we can embrace who we are and who others are also. Acceptance is so important if we are going to experience the rest that Jesus is offering us to enjoy.  As we continue to realize how much God really loves us and is pleased with us, the more we will grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus. Today on our Grace at LAST podcast we ask some questions about where the control is coming from in our lives.  Are we careful to listen and follow the Holy Spirit inside of us, or are we still being controlled by other people? When it comes to our relationship with God, we are free to hear and follow the voice of the Holy Spirit saying this is the way, walk in it.  We are reminded we are the church; it is not a place we go. When we remember that, we can look for opportunities in our lives to be the church and share the incredibly good news in Christ.  Complete and total forgiveness is available in Christ and there is nothing we need to do to add to it. It is freedom in every area. We also talk about the author of Hebrews rebuking his readers for being infants. They were still hanging on to the Law of Moses and needed to let go of that and move into the gospel of grace.  They couldn’t teach others because they were still in need of someone to teach them. The material we look at in today’s podcast is an effort to remedy that and help us grow up to the new covenant truths so we can not only live them but share them with others.
