My Goals For 2021 And Setting Your Own Gentle Goals
Hello, and welcome to episode 95 of Grow With Soul - and to the first episode of 2021! Today’s episode is in two parts. The first part of this episode is a recording of my Goals, Intentions and Word Of The Year blog post, unsurprisingly sharing what my goals are for this year and where my focus is - after sharing my End Of Year Thoughts like this I found be a really lovely and intimate way to share these kinds of thoughts. Then I’ll close out with a second part with a few thoughts on thinking about and approaching your planning for this year. Let’s dive in!
End Of Year Thoughts 2020
For the last three years I have published an End Of Year Review. This year there are too many untied loose ends, too many still misplaced hopes and too much not processed that it just isn’t the right time to share my usual warts and all review. I did think, though, that I would share some end of year thoughts for 2020 that are arising as I reflect on the changes that I have been making – and I actually think this has worked out better than usual.
Coaching Episode - Getting More Strategic and Communicating Your Difference with Katie Ford-Thomas
Today is a coaching episode with Katie Ford-Thomas of Fen & Field Magazine. Katie grew Fen & Field from an idea sparked from a documentary to a fully fledged print magazine in a year, and now, two issues in, finds herself at the point of needing to level up. Having grown an Instagram following and newsletter audience organically, she’s now feeling stuck of how to move it all forward and broaden the magazine’s reach. We talk about alternative ways to use Instagram, getting granular with customers and thinking strategically about them, and communicating your difference.
Marketing & Business Q&A #3
Today I have lots of your questions that you submitted on Instagram that I’m going to answer. It is perhaps a sign of the times that there seemed to be a trend of uncertainty through all your questions - just a hint of worry and feeling stuck - so I hope today can be a comforting episode that gives you a few new jumping off points. I’m covering overthinking, email sequences, decision-making, channel planning, and our old favourite, Why How What.
Coaching episode - Navigating The Post-Covid Pivot with Lucy Moakes
Today is a coaching episode with Lucy Moakes of Lulubell Tents. After growing an events business for five years, the events of 2020 provided Lucy with the opportunity, and necessity, of pivoting and starting up the shop venture she’d been thinking about for two years. Today we talk about how that experience has been emotionally and practically, talking about how to think about adding new things to what you do and working out how to talk to new customers.
Diving Deep On The Inward Attainment Map
When you have a problem in your business, whether that's with getting going or making a big decision, we want the magic answer and a system to follow, not to have to turn inwards. The Inward Attainment Map is the best of both worlds, providing a structure to help you work out the answers you need. In today’s episode, I wanted to talk through the Inward Attainment Map methodology and how you can start using some of the key milestones within it to start making progress in your projects and shift your life onto a more fulfilling track.
