    Ep 358: Be More Disruptive

Does your authenticity make other people uncomfortable? Good. Keep that energy moving. ✨ Join the Reclaim Your Time and Energy Challenge: https://signup.thesistersenchanted.com/reclaim_energy_challenge_2026 Q: What does it mean when your lifestyle "disrupts" other people? A: When living authentically makes others uncomfortable, it usually means you've interrupted their internal patterns, not that you've done anything wrong. Disruption moves stagnant energy. The moment to worry is when you start dimming yourself to restore someone else's comfort. Q: Should I stop doing things that make others feel bad about themselves? A: No. Someone else's discomfort with your reading, your boundaries, your parenting, or your choices is information about their inner world, not instruction for yours. You can hold grace for their reaction without folding on your boundary. Q: What is a Good Witch Bad Bitch Summer? A: It's The Sisters Enchanted's annual invitation to blend practical, grounding "good witch" foundations (make your home feel magical) with wild, unapologetic "bad bitch" living and treating this one precious life like it's yours to actually live. 🔮 This week on Stay Magic, I'm sharing the four specific ways I've disrupted other people's peace this summer and why I refused to stop doing any of them. Reading in public (yes, really), posting content that lit up the comment section, saying no thanks to the drinks offered, and letting my kids be wild in nature. Each one pattern-interrupted somebody and taught me something about standing in discomfort instead of shrinking from it. Listen, if the waters around you are always calm, there's probably a part of your truest self you're keeping hidden. ✨ In this episode: 🌙 Why disruption is energy work - moving stagnation so clarity can settle 📖 The high school "you're such a freak" moment that came back to me this summer 💬 What 700K-reach reels taught me about other people's nervous systems (and mine) 🍷 Standing in the palpable pause when you say "just water, thanks" 🌲 The "wow, that's brave of you" comments and what they actually reveal 🔥 How to drop into your body and check: is this wisdom, or just their disrupted peace? 🔗 Connect with The Sisters Enchanted:https://thesistersenchanted.com/

Ep 357: Are You Always the One Who Does Everything? That's Your Witch Wound

💚 Join the Reclaim Your Time and Energy Challenge: https://signup.thesistersenchanted.com/reclaim_energy_challenge_2026Are you always the one who does everything...the woman who did all the work on the group project while everyone else got the A? 🌙 In this episode of the Stay Magic Podcast, I chat about why high-achieving, witchy women end up carrying it all (at home, at work, in every community they join) and why we hold ourselves back from being truly seen. Spoiler: it's not just your personality. It's inherited patriarchal conditioning and there's a more magical way to live. This one's for the introvert who craves real connection but keeps a protective shell up. The woman who won't share her wins because someone might need something from her or (what's worse) feel bad. The one who grips control of the dishwasher because no one loads it "right." ✨ If that's you, this is your invitation to stop being the point person and start circling up.In this episode, you'll explore:🔥 Why you became "the sun of the universe" - the one everyone orbits and pulls from🌀 How the patriarchal model (someone's in charge, someone's always last) runs your home, work, and friendships👑 Emperor vs. Empress energy and what a truly circular, matriarchal community actually feels like🕯️ Why letting yourself be witnessed feels so vulnerable (hello, witch wound)💫 How to reclaim your time and energy by trading linear rows for a sacred circleAnswer Bites ➡️ quick answers to what you might be Googling (or asking ChatGPT) right now:Q: Why am I always the one who does everything for everyone?Because you were taught that someone must always defer, over-function, and put themselves last "for the collective" and because you're faster and stronger at it, so you just do it. That's patriarchal, hierarchical conditioning, not a personal flaw. It's learnable, which means it's un-learnable.Q: Why do I hold back or hide in community and groups? Many high-achieving women stay small so they won't be seen as the know-it-all, won't have to do it all, or won't make others feel "less than." It feels like self-protection, but it's the witch wound (the fear of being visible and powerful) running the show.Q: What's the difference between hierarchical and circular community?Hierarchy puts one person in charge and everyone else in ranked rows where someone's always doing the most for the least in return. A circle means everyone is in service to everyone, everyone brings value (lived experience counts as much as credentials), and there's enough to go around.Q: How do I stop over-functioning and reclaim my energy?Notice where you've appointed yourself "in charge," name the linear/patriarchal patterns you're reinforcing, and practice letting the circle share the load and asking "who has capacity for this today?" instead of "I'll just do it." Then find women who hold you in community without making you shrink.Q: Why do I crave connection but feel afraid to be seen?Because being witnessed authentically means dropping the shell you built to keep from being ousted or over-relied on. In a true circle, you can share who you really are because belonging isn't earned by being the same, it's given because you're valuable as you are.💬 Tell me in the comments: Where in your life are you stuck in a linear row when you're craving a circle?

Ep 356 Planning Is a Vision Board

Join the Reclaim Your Time and Energy Challenge: https://signup.thesistersenchanted.com/reclaim_energy_challenge_2026Q: What does it mean to treat planning like a vision board? It means seeing your calendar as a reflection of what you're calling into your life, not just a list of obligations. Whatever you put on the calendar is what you're putting out into the universe so you plan around how you want to feel, not just what you have to do.Q: How do you plan your week based on energy instead of obligations?Start with the practical layer first: put every fixed commitment on a calendar (appointments, calls, dinners) so you can see where your time is already spoken for. Then, on the days with fewer commitments, add to-dos without overloading any single day. This keeps your week aligned with how you want to feel instead of setting yourself up for overwhelm.Q: What's the best planning system for a busy witchy woman?A two-tool system works well: a digital calendar (like Google Calendar) for the practical, "where do I have to be" layer, and a lunar planner for the inner, "how do I want to feel and what am I doing each day" layer. The digital calendar is solar and outer; the lunar planner is inner and reflective.Q: How do you plan when you have ADHD or resist planning?Don't time-block your to-dos. Keep an open daily list with no assigned hours so you can do the hard things when your energy is high and the softer things (like a walk) when your energy dips. Freedom inside the structure is what makes it stick.🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮If there's one thing I know about witchy women, it's that we don't love to plan…but we LOVE a good vision board. 🔮So what if your planning was your vision board? In this episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on exactly how I plan my life in a very full season (summer 2026) when I'm putting more hours into The Sisters Enchanted than ever, homeschooling my two kids, seeing my grandmother twice a week, traveling in our RV, and still protecting space for walks, reading, rest, and actual joy. ✨This isn't a rigid, color-coded, squeeze-it-into-a-30-minute-block kind of system. This is planning as visioning. As energy management. As a witchcraft practice that brings you home to yourself. 🌙I'm walking you through the real tools I'm using right now:📅 Google Calendar - my ride-or-die for the practical, earthly-plane stuff (if it's not on there, I will not be there)🌕 The Sisters Enchanted Lunar Planner - where I track how I want to feel, cast intentions at the new moon, and build my open, un-timed daily to-do lists☀️ My Good Witch Bad Bitch Summer tracker - where I "backwards list" everything that's making me feel aligned with my values📚 A peek at how I plan our homeschool year by asking my kids the same questions I'd ask you: How do you want to feel? What would help?If your calendar makes you feel shrunk, constricted, and behind before your feet even hit the floor, this one's for you. Let's turn your planning into a practice that actually aligns your energy with the life you're calling in. 💫🕯️ JOIN THE FREE RECLAIM YOUR TIME & ENERGY CHALLENGEIt's free, it's ongoing, and it lives in our community space (where you'll grab your PDF guide to thinking about time in a whole new way, not just the wake-up-and-go-to-bed linear way).👉 https://signup.thesistersenchanted.com/reclaim_energy_challenge_2026

Ep 354: Your Birth Chart & the Witch Wound: Why You Care What People Think (Astrology) | Part 2

Join the Reclaim Your Time and Energy free challenge: https://signup.thesistersenchanted.com/reclaim_energy_challenge_2026Q: What does your birth chart reveal about people-pleasing?A: Certain birth chart placements can illuminate why you're prone to caring deeply about others' opinions. Heavy placements in House 1 (the house of self) can make you feel constantly judged. House 7 (partnerships and the other) can tie your identity to how others perceive you. House 10 (public image and career) can amplify concern about your reputation and collective perception. Q: What is House 1 in astrology?A: House 1 is the house of the self, ruled by your rising or ascendant sign. It represents how you see yourself and how you show up in the world. Many planets in House 1 can indicate a heightened sensitivity to being watched or judged, a feeling that all eyes are on you and that everything you do is being evaluated.Q: What is House 7 in astrology?A: House 7 is the house of partnerships and "the other", everyone outside of yourself. Heavy placements here can indicate that your sense of identity becomes intertwined with how others see you and relate to you, making you more susceptible to people-pleasing patterns and fear of disapproval.Q: What is House 10 in astrology?A: House 10 is the house of public image, career, and collective reputation. Unlike House 1, which is about how you feel you're being perceived, House 10 is about how the outer world actually views you. Heavy placements here often correspond with a deep concern about reputation, legacy, and what the world thinks of your choices.Q: How can astrology help heal the witch wound?A: Astrology is a tool for self-knowing, not a fixed verdict. When you understand the placements in your chart that amplify fear of judgment, you can start working with that awareness rather than against yourself. Combined with practical magic (moon rhythms, ritual, tarot) astrology gives you a framework for shifting from overthinking what others think to trusting your own knowing.✨ What if your birth chart could explain exactly why you care so much what other people think? In Part 2 of this witch wound series, I bring astrology into the conversation. In this episode, you'll explore:🌟 How your sun sign reflects the light you were born to carry and what it looks like when fear dims it🏠 House 1 — the house of self, and why heavy placements here make you feel like you're constantly being watched and judged🤝 House 7 — the house of partnerships and the other, and how it can weave your identity into what others think of you👁️ House 10 — the house of public image, and why planets here can crank up your concern about reputation and collective perception🔮 Why your birth chart isn't a fixed sentence...it's a living document that shifts as you shift🌀 How combining self-knowledge with witchery practice (moon cycles, tarot, ritual) is the actual path out of the witch wound⚡ Why caring what other people think is one of the biggest energy leaks in your life and what reclaiming that energy makes possibleThis is Part 2 of a two-part series.

Ep: 353 Why You Care What People Think (It's Your Witch Wound) | Part 1

See what we're up to and get more resources at https://thesistersenchanted.com/ . Q: What is the witch wound?A: The witch wound is a pattern of internalized fear rooted in centuries of societal conditioning that taught women (particularly sensitive, empathic, and intuitive women) to stay small, compliant, and invisible in order to remain safe. It shows up as fear of being seen, rejected, or judged, and it drives behaviors like people-pleasing, overthinking communication, and hiding your authentic self.Q: Why do I care so much what other people think?A: Caring what others think is often a response rooted in the witch wound - a deep, often ancestral fear of rejection and social exclusion. When your nervous system learned that being "too much" or "different" wasn't safe, it began suppressing your authentic self as a protection strategy. Q: What is intentional invisibility?A: Intentional invisibility is one of the most common witch wound patterns. It looks like downplaying your gifts, apologizing before you need to, staying quiet when you want to speak up, hiding your spiritual practices, or holding back from expressing who you truly are...all in an effort to avoid judgment and remain emotionally safe.Q: How do I stop caring what other people think?A: The first step isn't willpower, it's awareness. Recognizing that the fear of what others think is rooted in the witch wound (not truth) is what begins to loosen its grip. When you understand that your need to be perceived a certain way is a fear-based survival pattern, you can start addressing the root instead of just managing the symptom.✨ Why do you replay conversations at night? Why do you check someone's Instagram just to see if they're still alive or just mad at you? That is not anxiety or overthinking. That is your witch wound in action. In this episode (Part 1 of a two-part series) Sara Walka, I, break down one of the seven most common witch wound patterns I've seen across ten years of working with witchy women: intentional invisibility.-If you've ever downplayed your magic to make someone else comfortable...-If you've apologized before you even had a reason to...-If you've hidden your rituals, your tarot cards, your morning altar, or the real version of yourself from the people in your life...This is for you.In this episode, you'll explore:🕯️ What the witch wound is and why it runs so deep in highly sensitive, empathic women🌑 The #1 witch wound pattern I hear from her community: intentional invisibility💬 Why you overthink every message you send (and obsessively wait for the response)🔥 The real cost of staying invisible and why it isn't safety, it's shrinkage🌀 How caring what others think keeps you energetically drained and spiritually stuck🌿 The difference between fear-based safety and self-love-based safety⚡ What it looks like to start caring a little less about what they think and a lot more about healing the wound underneathThis is a two-part series. Ep 352: Why Women Stop Participating in Life And How to Feel Alive Again | Good Witch Bad Bitch Summer 2026

Make your summer a Good Witch, Bad Bitch summer: https://signup.thesistersenchanted.com/gwbbsummer2026✨Why do so many women hesitate to participate in life? Often it's not the body holding them back, it's an unregulated nervous system and old stories about being embarrassed, "too old," or looking foolish. The fix isn't more confidence first; it's self-coaching and energy work that let you create the experience you want instead of just reacting to the one in front of you.I watched a room full of grown adults refuse to get on the trampolines at my kids' birthday party. Grippy socks and all, they sat on the sidelines while the go-karts and laser tag and foam pits sat right there, waiting. And it reminded me exactly what Good Witch Bad Bitch Summer is for. This is your year-three update: how my summer's actually going, where I'm winning, where I'm losing the plot, and how to get yours moving if you've been parked on the couch with your phone. The Good Witch is your foundation: whole foods, 10,000 steps, reading with your kids, living in line with your values. The Bad Bitch is the aliveness: the sky rail, the water slides, the hula hoop you're "too old" for. You need both and the bridge between them is Self-coaching. Your mindset, your nervous system, your words, your chakras, your chart...that's not separate from your witchery. That IS your witchery. A witch is a Woman In Total Control of Herself. She doesn't wait for confidence to show up, she creates it. So what's the worst that could happen if you stop hesitating? You fall in the foam pit and someone hands you out. You tweak your back and meet your heating pad. Or, you feel like a bad bitch because you didn't let your one wild life pass you by.In this episode:• Why hesitation is a nervous system pattern, not a personality trait• The Good Witch / Bad Bitch framework and why you need both• How self-coaching is energy work (and the witchiest thing you can do)• "What's the worst that could happen?" as a self-trust practice• Building foundations now so September doesn't flatten you (womp, womp)

Ep 351 What Really Happens When You Tell People You're a Witch (The 3 People You'll Meet)

Check out the Enchanted Journey membership (going strong since 2017!): https://signup.thesistersenchanted.com/ejmembership_april2026What happens when you tell people you're a witch? You'll typically meet three kinds of people: naysayers, neutrals, and new BFFs! Naysayers react with judgment no matter what you say. Neutrals (the largest group) simply acknowledge it and move on. New BFFs light up and want in. Most people land in "neutral," and learning to expect all three makes coming out as a witch far less scary. How do I tell my family I'm a witch?Lead with low stakes and let go of the outcome. Most family members are "neutrals" meaning they won't celebrate it, but they won't condemn it either. You can stay connected to people who believe differently without needing them to agree. Save your deeper conversations for the people who show genuine curiosity, and find your true witchy community elsewhere if your family isn't it.Why do people react more strongly to "tarot" or "witch" than to "astrology"?Astrology has been normalized for decades through newspaper horoscopes and pop culture, so it feels familiar and safe. The words "witch" and "tarot" still carry old cultural fear and religious baggage, so they tend to raise eyebrows. The reaction usually says more about a person's limited exposure than about you. What is the "broom closet"?Being "in the broom closet" means keeping your witchcraft, tarot, or spiritual practice private to avoid judgment from family, friends, or community. Coming out of the broom closet is choosing to be open about your practice and it tends to bring naysayers, neutrals, and unexpected new friends out of the woodwork. How do I find witchy friends if no one around me gets it?Look online. Many of the deepest witchy friendships happen across distance through communities, memberships, and shared rituals, especially for women in places where local spiritual community is scarce. The people in your life don't have to check every box; you're allowed to find your people somewhere else.In this episode, I break down the three kinds of people you'll meet on your journey as you come out of the broom closet: the naysayers, the neutrals, and the new BFFs. After ten years of being a witch out loud (and hearing from thousands of women in our community), I've got the map for who you'll run into, why people react the way they do, and how to handle each one without losing your peace or your people. We're recording this in Gemini season, the part of the year that rules language, communication, and the circles we move through and with Uranus now in Gemini, the whole sky is nudging us toward telling the truth about who we are. So if you've been holding your magic quiet, this one just might be a sign! You'll learn why "witch" and "tarot" rattle people more than "astrology" ever does, why most folks are far more neutral than your fear predicts, and how to spot the unexpected friend who's been waiting for someone exactly like you.The people in your life don't have to check every box. You get to find your people and they might come from the most surprising places.
