Is It Better to Settle in Relationships?

Is It Better to Settle in Relationships?

Today we're talking about what it means to "settle" in a relationship. We'll be discussing if it's okay to settle and what realistic expectations of a relationship should be, compromise, and whether or not we should hold out for a perfect relationship. We're going to look at research and surveys about finding partners who meet expectations, weigh some pros and cons of compromising versus never settling, and how someone can know if they're settling or being too inflexible. Love Languages Might Be Bullsh*t

    Love Languages Might Be Bullsh*t

Today we're talking about love languages, and taking a critical look at them to discuss whether or not they're actually as important as we make them out to be. We're going to go over some of the key assumptions behind the love languages and of course, look at what the research has to say. And finally, we discuss both the potential benefits and the possible pitfalls of relying too heavily on the love languages as a framework. Will make anyone better at relationshipping

Every time I hear the intro song I know I'm going to have a good time. Listening to Multiamory has made me a smarter, humbler, more understanding and better educated person in all my relationships; to my partners, my friends and myself. I have followed Emily, Jase and Dedeker since the start of their podcast and they have taught me more or less everything I know about polyamory and how to practice it well. I just can’t thank these guys enough for their work and the difference it has made in my life.

They have a scientific approach to every topic they bring up, which is one of the reasons I love this podcast so much, as well as giving super practical and actionable advice at the same time as staying genuine and personal and entertaining. I recommend this podcast to anyone who has the slightest interest in personal development, relationship dynamics, becoming better at communication, knowing a bit more about different relationship types, or who just want to start listening to a fun, insightful and important podcast :)

Best relationship podcast!

I recommend you guys all the time, no matter relationship type. Your advice is definitely for everyone and you helped me so much, I always find one episode to scratch my current relationship itch. However didn’t find one for renegotiating a love relationship so that’s a wish for a future episode. In the process of turning my monogamous relationship to something that might be... less so. LOVE from Sweden
