We’re bringing back the case where a lottery winner used his newfound wealth to help his community. His generosity extended not only to his family and friends but to people whom he didn't even know. When this man suddenly couldn’t be located, his family wondered where he had gone. Did he use his lottery winnings to go on a much-needed vacation, exhausted from all the people asking for money? Did he flee to get away from legal trouble he was in? Or, could it be possible that someone made him disappear?

Marsha P. Johnson: “Death of an LGBTQ Icon” | MURDERISH Ep. 166

Marsha P. Johnson: “Death of an LGBTQ Icon” | MURDERISH Ep. 166

In the Summer of 1992, the scorching temperatures in Manhattan were of little concern to Marsha P. Johnson. Her days didn’t truly start until long after the sun had gone down. Fresh from the Pride Parade, Marsha made plans the evening of July 4th, 1992 to meet her friend Miss Kitty at The Anvil, one of the many gay bars lining Christopher Street in Greenwich Village. They were supposed to rendezvous at midnight. Only …Marsha never showed. Two days later, on July 6th, a passerby spotted something floating just off the Hudson River Pier shortly after sunrise. It was Marsha. The LGBTQ rights activist was dead at 46. Given Marsha’s notoriety as an outspoken supporter of gay and trans rights, friends immediately suspected foul play. The NYPD and medical examiner saw things differently, quickly declaring Marsha’s death a suicide by drowning. Those who knew the transgender pioneer well dismissed the notion that Johnson took her own life. Her history of substance abuse and depression notwithstanding, Marsha had never given any indication she was suicidal. Over 30 years have passed and still, Marsha P. Johnson’s death remains shrouded in mystery.

Best of MURDERISH: E58 "Sandra Sapaugh, Hypnotic Statement"

One woman risked life and limb to escape the grips of a predator. Her goal was simply to make it home to her children alive. There was no way she could have known that ensuring her attacker was found would reveal so much more, and likely save other lives. In working with authorities, this woman was able to uncover her attacker for what he truly was ...a serial killer. Her statements about the crime, however, were given under controversial circumstances. As such, the authenticity of her statements was called into question. Join me as I walk you through the case involving Sandra Sapaugh.

Prom Night Murders: “Justice or Wrongful Conviction?”丨MURDERISH Ep. 165

Prom Night Murders: “Justice or Wrongful Conviction?”丨MURDERISH Ep. 165

A small town Indiana minister is brutally murdered in his own home. His wife and young daughters lay lifeless in the basement. It’s the kind of crime that rocks an entire community and dampens their spirit forever.

The horrific quadruple homicide happened in 1989, when DNA testing was in its infancy. Would investigators be able to lean on this new technology to catch the person who massacred an entire family?

As time went on and the case went cold, the facts became blurred. Would Bob and Dawn Pelley, and their two young daughters Janel and Jolene, ever get justice for the tragedy that befell them?

..

Used to be descent but since the scamdemic has derailed compleatly.. slowly keeps getting more and more caucasian hating but in that manipulative sneaky way. The past months basically all perpetrators have been white males and everything is rasism and its always the systems fault -never any personal responsibility...

Brygge9999 ,

Was good but now its flooded with commercials.

I have listened from the beginning. But I feel there is way to many commercials.
