Ofelia Malin
Ofelia Malin is a Swedish author working primarily with autofiction set in the present day, across novels, essay collections, poetry, and self-help. Her writing explores memory, identity, the body, and longing, often blurring the line between lived experience and narrative construction. Alongside her contemporary work, she is drawn to historical atmospheres, old houses, and emotional undercurrents that feel out of time. She writes about women who look at each other for too long, letters that carry unspoken truths, and homes that remember those who once lived there. Open endings and quiet unease are recurring elements in her work. She is the founder of Oktoberhumla, an umbrella term and creative brand encompassing all of her writing and artistic projects. Octoberhumla functions both as a symbol and a practice: softness surviving cold, creation as persistence, and beauty that arrives late and stays anyway. When not writing, she collects old books, dries flowers, designs tattoos, and treats her life as an ongoing archive of unfinished sentences.
