I love that Rough Translation doesn’t set out to be some kind of feel good antidote to tough times, but its candor and intelligent pursuit of human stories inside of news stories becomes the balm for painful times. It really does give me faith in humanity, no sap, no sentimentality, just good story telling about people in situations we usually only get headlines and statistics about.
