    Writer/director Ari Aster follows up "Hereditary" (2018) with another cult horror/thriller "Midsommer" (2019). Starring Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor, and Will Poulter, "Midsommer" is about a group of friends who travel to Sweden to visit a rural village's fabled mid-summer festival. What begins as a cultural retreat, it quickly devolves into a violent and bizarre tradition at the hands of a pagan cult. Tune in as we warm up by playing the 'ology game', talk general questions of the film's elements, and run through and analyze the main plot points of this crazy movie.

    Originally titled "Stem", "Upgrade" (2018) is a phenomenal underrated low budget sci-fi film by Australian writer/director Leigh Whannell. Starring Logan Marshall-Green, Melanie Vallejo, Harrison Gilbertson, Benedict Hardie, and Betty Gabriel, the story is about technophobic mechanic Grey who turns to using a computer implant called Stem after his world is turned upside down. Tune in as we discuss trivia, main differences between the screenplay version and film, talk about Grey and why he's an interesting character, this fresh approach to a revenge story, and much more!
