    Dead Air 260 - Shelby Oaks

    Gather 'round the PC, because it's time for some early 2000s, ghost hunter content. On today's episode of Dead Air we discuss the 2024 film, Shelby Oaks. Mia's younger sister Riley was a struggling youtube star, with her ghost hunting show, the Paranomal Paranoids. One day, after a strange incident at a prison, Riley and her friends head to Shelby Oaks to film their latest episode. However, the episode would never be completed. After all of Riley's friends are found dead with no sign of RIley herself, Mia will hold the torch and keep her sister's memory alive for 12 long years. One day a stranger comes to Mia's door and kills himself. Clutched in his hands in a mini DV that will hold the clues to what happened on that horrific night. Now, Mia will head to Shelby Oaks herself to find out what really happened to her sister.

    It's time to turn your glasses over and place them on the Oujia board. Today, we commune with the latest episode of Dead Air! Veronica is a young high-school girl with a lot of responsibility. After her father died she has been forced to look after her three younger siblings while her mother works. Out of a desperate need to speak to her father, during a solar eclipse her and her friends attempt to contact the dead, but, Veronica will end up contacting something far more sinister. Now, it's up to her and her very young siblings to protect their household from the forces of evil, that would seek to destroy them all.

    Dead Air 258 - Talk To Me

    Please, light a candle and take our hands and if you'll let us in we'll take possession of your ears with the latest episode where we discuss the 2022 film, Talk to Me! In the wake of her mother's death, Mia finds herself lost and clinging to her surrogate family. She and her best friend, Jade are heading to a party where rumour has it, that the hosts have the embalmed hand of a satanic medium. All you have to do is take it and say "Talk to me" and you'll be face to face with a random person who has died. If you dare utter the phrase "I let you in" You invite that spirit to enter you. Linger too long and they'll refuse to leave. After an intense session with Jade's brother, Riley, Mia is seeing the spirit of her dead mother everywhere. What's worst are the other spirits who are also stalking her, and poor Riley himself, possessed and brutalized, unable to wake up. Mia and her friends must find a way to break the curse and save Riley before he is dragged to Hell forevermore.

    Dead Air 257 - Misery

    It's time to pour yourself a glass of Dom Perignon then light that single match to ignite your single cigarette, as you listen to episode 257 of Dead Air! Today we're discussing the 1990 Stephen King adaptation; Misery. Paul Sheldon is a successful writer who has just finished his latest story. The first original one in years since he decided to break away from his iconic book series Misery by finally killing off the franchises protagonist Misery Chastain, which is days away from being released. After a horrific car accident on his way to deliver his new manuscript, Paul is rescued by a nurse named Anne Wilkes. She brings him back to health, keeping him isolated and away from the outside world and as she mentions she just so happens to be his number one fan. When she learns the fate of her favourite character, Misery she becomes enraged and demands Paul write her back to life in an entirely new book and for Paul, his very life will depend on it.

    Dead Air 256 - The Blackcoats Daughter

    This February, you'll be taking your traditional (?) school break with Dead Air, as we discuss the 2015 film; The Blackcoats Daughter! At a prestigious Catholic boarding school, students Kat and Rose are staying behind while the rest of their piers and teachers are going away for a week long break. There is a foreboding presence among them, and as the time passes on Kat's behavior becomes far more bizarre and Rose is getting the sneaking suspicion that she is no longer safe. Meanwhile, a mysterious woman named Joan is traveling to the school after escaping a mental institution, she happens upon a kindly married couple also heading there and as all of these stories converge, the term "heads will roll" definitely applies.

    Dead Air 255 - Ghost Keeper

    There, in the deepest of snow and on the darkest of nights, we find the first episode of Dead Air of 2026. Appropriately we discuss the 1981 Canuck classic - Ghost Keeper! Jenny, her Boyfriend Marty and tag-along Chrissy are celebrating the New Year with a snowmobiling trip in the snowy mountains of Banff, Alberta. Malfunctioning gear leaves them stranded at the mysterious and seemingly abandoned Deer Lodge. Soon, they discover that an elderly woman serves as the old lodges caretaker. As the night grows cold, all is not well. This woman is not only caretaker to this derelict building but also the dark secret that is held in an icy prison in the basement. A secret that has ties to Native legends long forgotten, a legend that is hungry for human flesh!
