The authors collected data from more than 1,500 buildings to examine how the effectiveness of Cx, for both new construction and existing buildings, has evolved over time. The report examines different types of Cx projects, including utility-sponsored energy-saving projects, monitoring-based commissioning (MBCx), and non-utility-funded Cx projects. The study concludes that Cx remains an effective method of saving energy and that Cx costs have declined since 2009, while the size and complexity of projects have increased.

    24.07 Danish commissioning guideline for commissioning

    The DS3090 is a Danish standard for commissioning of installations in buildings. The standard describes the process of checking and documenting the installations during all phases of construction, from the initial ideas to the operational phase. The standard specifies which documents should be drawn up, which tests should be carried out and how the roles should be divided between the client, the commissioning manager, designers, contractors and suppliers. The standard is aimed at improving the quality of installations, minimising energy consumption and ensuring the safety and reliability of the building installations.
