EP149: Why "I'm Becoming Her" Might Be the Most Comfortable Lie You Tell Yourself

Send us Fan Mail Why "I'm Becoming Her" Might Be the Most Comfortable Lie You Tell Yourself  On language, money scripts and the identity you're building every time you open your mouth This week's episode came together from about four different places, and I'm not going to pretend it didn't. But it's also all kind of about the same thing: the words we use, the identities they're subtly building, and the very comfortable trap hiding inside one of the words we use most in this space. I start the episode talking about my VIP day with the brilliant Sue Jones-Miranda, human design queen and someone who has this unsettling ability to see straight through you in the best possible way. I'd been doing all the things, finishing the book, planning the September event, pushing forward on every front at once, and I could feel the burnout highway starting to appear on the horizon. The day with Sue brought me back to myself, back to what actually lights me up, writing and in-person connection, and reminded me that even when this is what you teach, it can be genuinely hard to see it in yourself. Then a few days later, at a property investing event of all places, a stranger said something to me that stopped me in my tracks. I'd casually said, more than once, that I'm financially illiterate. And he looked at me and said, quite gently but quite directly: well, that's the problem, isn't it. The way you're speaking about it. And he was completely right. In the episode I get into why that landed so hard, including the inheritance of that language from childhood, my dad's obsession with pensions, the rebellious kid in me who switched off, and the years of financial abuse in my marriage that reinforced an identity around money I've been carrying ever since. It was one of those moments where you realise a script is still running the show long after the circumstances that created it are gone. Which brings me to Abracadabra and why that is literally a magic word. And then there's the word I think we all need to be a lot more careful with.  Becoming. On the surface, it sounds like exactly the right word for this work. And in some ways it is. We need the vision. We need to know who we want to become. But becoming lives in the future tense, and the future tense is a very comfortable place to park your dreams indefinitely. Becoming, left unchecked, turns into permission to wait. It becomes a polite, socially acceptable way of saying later, babe. The shift I talk about in this episode isn't to stop having the vision. It's to stop letting her live permanently in the future tense and bring her into the now. Not become her eventually. Be her now. There's a difference, and it's everything. I close on the difference between predictability and possibility, and why so many of us choose the devil we know over the woman we're actually capable of being. Certainty isn't coming. But trust? That's available right now. In this episode: Why I nearly burnt out again and what a VIP day with Sue Jones-Miranda reminded me about coming back to myselfThe moment a stranger at a property event called out exactly what my language was building in real timeFinancial abuse, inherited money scripts and the identities we carry long after the circumstances are goneAbracadabra: I create as I speak, and what that actually means for the words you're using every dayThe trap inside the word "becoming" and why it might be keeping your dream permanently in the future tensePredictability versus possibility, and why trust is the only currency that actually matters hereMentioned in this episode: The EDIT Your Life Journal, available on Amazon now in paperback and hardback If this episode landed for you, please share it with the woman in your life who needs to hear it. EP148: Ready Isn't a Feeling. It's a Decision. Here's What That Actually Looks Like

Send us Fan Mail There's a version of you who already knows exactly what she wants to do next. She's not waiting for the conditions to be perfect nor waiting for the fear to disappear. She's not waiting for a sign either.  She's just waiting for you to stop asking the wrong part of yourself for bloody permission. This week I'm getting personal, because I think this is one of the most important things I'll say on this podcast. Readiness isn't a feeling. It's a decision. And until you understand the difference, you'll keep waiting for something that was never coming. I talk about: Why the survival self will never give you the green light, and what to do insteadWhat the moment of knowing actually felt like, and why I still argued with it for monthsHow I built this business through chronic illness and why "I'll do it when things settle down" is the most expensive sentence you'll ever say to yourselfWhy the leap isn't the reinvention. It's the evidence of one that's already been happening underneathWhat Be Her Now actually means when nothing about the conditions feels rightThis isn't the highlight reel version. It's the real one. If it hits something for you, share it with the woman you think needs to hear it today. EP147: Am I Too Old For This at 47? Let's Do the Maths

Send us Fan Mail A gorgeous human put her hand up at an event a couple of weekends ago, and asked if she was too old to change her career, start a business, and go after what she actually wanted. She was 47 years old. Forty-f*cking-seven. And I watched her ask it with genuine uncertainty on her face, the years of conditioning sitting right there in the room with her, whispering in her ear that she'd already missed her window. She hadn't by the way.  And if you've been secretly asking yourself the same question, neither have you. This episode is for her. And honestly, it's for every woman who has ever talked herself out of something brilliant just because she thought the timing had passed. In this episode I get into: The maths that completely reframes where you actually are in your adult life (this genuinely shifted something in my brain when I worked it out)Why "am I too old" is never really an age question, it's an identity questionThe Survival Self vs the Sovereign Self, and why the gap between them is exactly where the real work livesWhat my own reinvention has looked like this year, the surgery, the recovery, the Crohn's, the financial terror of leaving a senior salary behind, and the moments of what the fuck have I doneWhat actually changes when you do this identity work, and what life looks and feels like on the other sideYou're not in the second act of a life that's winding down. You're at the interval. The second half gets to be amazing if you design it that way. If this episode lands for you, send it to the woman in your life who needs to hear it today. The one who's been talking herself out of something. Be the person who finds her in the break and tells her she's not too bloody old. And if you're ready to stop waiting and start designing the identity that actually fits who you are now, find out more about The Queen Edit here. EP146 What Stops With You: The Legacy Nobody Talks About

Send us Fan Mail Right, so this one started as a thought I had while driving with the roof down, which, for the record, is when literally all my best ideas happen (well, that and the shower!) I'd been thinking about legacy, and how we widely perceive it. Because we talk about legacy like it's something you build and leave behind. Whether it’s the career, or the body of work (or even the thing people say at your funeral). And yeah, that stuff matters. Of course. But the most powerful legacy I've ever witnessed in 20-plus years of watching people rebuild their lives?  It's not always about what you add. Sometimes it's about what stops. What stops with you. In this episode I get personal; I was born Emma, adopted as a baby, moved across England, and became Sarah Elizabeth before I was old enough to have an opinion about it. Reinvention wasn't a concept I discovered in a self-help book; it was literally my origin story. And somewhere in that early chapter, I made up a whole story about myself. A story that ran my life for bloody decades. It showed up in every relationship, every time I stayed too long, every time I held it all together and refused to ask for help. You'll probably recognise the shape of it, even if the details are different for you. Because I'm also going to describe someone to you in this episode. She's in her 40s or 50s, and she's built something genuinely impressive. And she wakes up most mornings already running her to-do list before she's even had a wee. She does everything so damn well, nobody looking at her would ever know that she feels completely empty inside. Maybe she cries in the car sometimes. Maybe she's googled burnout symptoms more times than she'd like to admit. Maybe she's done the therapy, the retreat, and bought umpteen journals she hasn't even opened. Yet she's still here, watching her own life from slightly outside of it. That woman isn't broken, and she’s abso-f*cking-lutely NOT failing at being a functional adult. She's just running an identity that was built for a completely different chapter, written by a completely different author. In this episode. we go into the Four Selves framework, specifically the Inherited Self (the identity you absorbed before you had the words to question it) and the Designed Self (who you already are when you stop being who everyone else needed you to be). We talk about the EDIT Code.  And I leave you with three questions that I genuinely think are more clarifying than any five-year plan. But, the big one: what stops with you? What pattern, what story, what survival behaviour are you done passing down? Because that question... that's where legacy actually lives. If this episode hits a nerve, send it to the woman in your life who's been doing all the things and still feels flat. She needs this conversation. EP145 The Tesla Code: Science, Spirit and the Identity Shift Nobody Told You Was Possible

Send us Fan Mail You know that feeling when you've done absolutely everything right... and yet it still doesn't feel right? Yeah I see you. Well, you're not someone who just "can't have nice things".... You are basically running on a frequency that was built a long time ago, in a version of your life that no longer fits you anymore. And until that changes, you can work harder, plan more carefully, do ALL the things and still end up exactly where you started. That's what this episode is about. My guest today is Emma Deeks, the creator of the Tesla Code. A revolutionary energetic recalibration method that blends science-inspired principles around energy, electromagnetic fields, human performance and nervous system regulation with identity work that actually sticks. Emma helps people shift their internal state so their external reality has no choice but to follow. And yes, Nikola Tesla genuinely features. No, you don't need to be good at maths. Emma failed it four times! That's literally why it works. In this episode, we go into: The shower breakdown that led Emma to create the Tesla Code (and why that moment is the one she's most grateful for)Why raising your vibration alone isn't enough, and the static electricity principle that explains why what you want can keep repelling you even when you're doing the workThe electromagnetic field you're already broadcasting, and why 93% of whether people buy from you, trust you or feel drawn to you has nothing to do with what you sayFuture memory activation: the neuroscience-backed reason your brain can't tell the difference between now and then, and how to use that to stop making decisions from the version of you who's exhaustedWhy aligned action is not the same as busy action, and how Emma went from tens of thousands in debt to a six-figure business in six months by doing less of the wrong thingsThe identity piece. Because yes, your self-concept is setting the ceiling on everything. We get into this properly.Emma went into a business launch feeling like a failure. She'd already decided it wasn't going to work. And it didn't. But it wasn’t because of the strategy or the offer. It was because of the frequency she was broadcasting. She then created the Tesla Code, and tried it on 100 quid… She got it back within hours from a client she hadn't spoken to in years. She then tested it on £10,000…. She had it in her account in six hours. Is it magic?  Not exactly. It's energy, it's identity, it's aligned action, and it's the mathematics of Pythagoras (yes, really) applied to who you're becoming. This episode is for you if: You've been doing the mindset work and wondering why nothing's actually changed. You're high-achieving on the outside and totally exhausted on the inside. You're ready to stop performing the life you've built and start living the one that's actually yours. You suspect your internal state is running the show and you want someone to finally give you a method for shifting it. This is that. Find Emma: Instagram: @emmadeeks582  https://www.instagram.com/emmadeeks582/ (DM her directly, she means it, no faff, no funnels, just a conversation) The Reinvention Era Podcast is where identity meets action. EP144: You Broke the Glass Ceiling. Now Break the Identity That Built It

Send us Fan Mail You've done it, haven't you? The career. The salary. The title. The financial independence that your grandmother couldn't even have dreamed of. You've built the life that ticks every box that society handed you, and you've done it f*cking brilliantly. So why does it feel like you're living someone else's life? This week's episode is for the Gen X woman who is financially free and psychologically still asking for permission. The one who is awake at 2am thinking I can't do this for another 20 years... and then talking herself out of doing anything about it. Because I believe that the thing that keeps high-achieving women exactly where they are isn't actually a fear of failure. It's the fear of becoming someone their current identity doesn't recognise. Inside this episode, we get into: Why our generation specifically got wired to attach identity to career successThe employee identity that's running most Gen X women's lives... without them even knowing itWhy reinvention feels psychologically unsafe even when you desperately want itThe difference between the employee identity and the CEO identity (and it's got nothing to do with whether you have a business)Why you don't need to burn your life down... sometimes it starts with one brave moveAnd why you're not lost. You're just still running on an identity that was built for someone else's version of successThis isn't about quitting your job tomorrow. It's not about becoming an influencer or moving to Greece, tempting as that sounds. It's about becoming the CEO of your own damn life. On your terms. In your next era. Because you didn't break through every ceiling to stay in a room that doesn't fit anymore, did you? It's time for the identity to catch up with the woman. 👑 Ready to go deeper? If this episode has you thinking yes, but how do I actually do this... that's exactly where The Queen Edit comes in. The Queen Edit is my 1:1 VIP identity reinvention experience where we decode the identities that have been running you, design your Alter Queen and install her as your new normal. Not someday. Now. EP143 Becoming Her: How to Actually Use Identity Design to Change Your Life

Send us Fan Mail This episode is where the whole Reinvention Era identity series finally comes together. And honestly? If you’ve spent the last few weeks listening thinking, ‘OK Sare… but how do I ACTUALLY use this in real life?’ THIS is the episode for you. Because this is where we stop talking about identity theory… and start talking about what actually changes when you consciously redesign who you are. Over the last few weeks, we’ve gone ovaries deep into: 👑 Your Inherited Self: The version of you shaped by conditioning, expectations and all the ‘good girls do this’ bullsh*t. 👑 Your Survival Self: The version of you that learned how to cope, perform, please, protect yourself and belong. 👑 Your Sovereign Self: The deepest, truest, most authentic part of you underneath all the damn proving energy. And finally… 👑 Your Designed Self (your Alter Queen): The version of you that you consciously choose to become. In this episode, I break down what this actually looks like in REAL LIFE. So whether: you secretly want to leave your jobstart the businessbecome the CEOreinvent your healthstop repeating relationship patternsraise your standardsor finally become the woman you KNOW you’re capable of being…this episode will hit. Hard. Because identity always wins. And the version of you that got you here? She’s probably NOT the one who takes you next. Inside this episode we cover: 🔥 Why you keep repeating the same patterns 🔥 Why confidence isn’t actually the issue 🔥 How identity rehearsal changes your brain 🔥 The REAL reason you stay stuck 🔥 How to consciously create your Alter Queen 🔥 Why waiting to feel ready is screwing you over 🔥 And how to start becoming her NOW Because reinvention doesn’t happen when life magically changes. It happens when YOU do. 👑 Want to go deeper into this work? You can DM me directly on Instagram: @queenofreinvention Or email me: sarah@thequeenofreinvention.com And if this episode hits you? EP142: Be Her Now: Why You Don’t Find Yourself… You Design Her

Send us Fan Mail This episode is THE one. If you listen to nothing else this week, listen to this, because this is the one where everything clicks. Over the last few weeks, here on the Reinvention Era, we’ve gone all in on…. Your Inherited Self; who you were taught to be before you even knew about it. Your Survival Self; who you consequently became to operate and cope…. but also succeed. Your Sovereign Self; who you actually are underneath it all…. Your Queen self 👑 But this week? This is where it changes. This episode is about your Designed Self. Your Alter Ego (but with a crown darling, so your Alter Queen) This is the version of you that you don’t just fall into… This is the you that you get to choose.  Because the thing is, you don’t need to ‘fix’ yourself (you’re not broken). It’s not about needing more confidence or feeling ‘ready.’ It’s about designing a different identity. Because identity always wins.  You don’t rise to your goals. You fall to the level of who you believe yourself to be. And right now? Whether you realise it or not… You are still being the version of you that was shaped by your past. In this episode, I break down: Why personal development alone doesn’t create real changeHow alter egos actually work (and why they’re not fake)The neuroscience behind identity and confirmation biasWhy waiting to feel ready is screwing you overHow to start designing and installing your next-level selfAnd how to become her… before it feels naturalBecause the shift isn’t, ‘I’ll become her when I’m ready.’ It’s: ‘I become her… and that’s what makes me ready. This is identity in motion, making moves. This is reinvention done properly. 👑 Want to take this further? If you’re listening to this thinking, ‘right, bring it on…..I’m ready to actually change this.’ I’ve opened 3 exclusive VIP Identity Design spaces. This is high-level, 1:1 work where we: strip back the identities that have been running youdesign your Alter Queen properlyand install her into your life so that you can change anything. This is not surface-level. This is the work that changes everything. 📩 Email me directly to apply: sarah@thequeenofreinvention.com (Or drop me a DM on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/queenofreinvention/) If you’re ready… don’t sit on it.
