In the episode, we discussed her journey through motherhood, empathizing and humanizing her own mother, as well as overcoming self out, learned through the history of trauma. We also discussed reproductive health and rights, pop culture, and the current state of affairs for people who can become pregnant in the United States. She lives with her husband, Ryan, and their two children, who are now voting age. She is the first Native American to hold an elected Pima County office and one of only four Native Americans to ever hold a county-level office in Arizona.
