    The Night They Broke Into the FBI

    March 8, 1971. Eight ordinary Americans broke into an FBI field office in Media, Pennsylvania. They stole over a thousand classified documents and mailed them to journalists — exposing COINTELPRO, the FBI's secret war against American citizens. The FBI hunted them with 200 agents. Never found a single one. Their identities stayed hidden for 43 years.
