Build That Business! Story Telling - Week 9

Welcome to Week 9 of Build That Business! (A Bonus episode with real-world stories - On Story Telling) We Focus on: 🎙️ Becoming an Effective Public Speaker through Storytelling In this episode, I describe the lecture session with Maryam Pasha during the Tutu African Leadership Institute program at Oxford University. We explored how storytelling can transform the way we speak in public. Whether you’re presenting to investors, addressing a large audience, or sharing your personal journey, the key to impact lies in the stories you tell. We’ll dive into practical lessons such as: Focusing on your audience, not yourself Discovering why people listen in the first place Understanding who your audience is and why they should care Challenging the assumptions we hold about our listeners Holding attention from start to finish Getting people to truly pay attention You’ll also learn powerful techniques on how to open a story, close it memorably, and explore different storytelling structures that keep audiences engaged. If you want to sharpen your public speaking and master the art of storytelling, this lecture recount is for you. This is unedited and exactly as the conversation went.
