    How I Found My Flow

How I Found My Flow: Powerful conversation with our host Leslie Nguyen and our guest speaker all the way from The Netherlands Marilyn Cronie. An adventurous young lady on a mission. A woman who considers herself a nomad on a mission to inspire women everywhere she goes. Marilyn is on an eternal journey of self (re) discovery and has transformed the hardship-rocks she experienced throughout her life into arrows to shoot from her bow. She has finally found her flow and realized what it means to truly enjoy life regardless of your situation. Her favorite life experiences and activities range from dancing, eating chocolate, empowering women, meditating, traveling and exploring new places to connecting with people and spending quality time with friends and family. During her personal and professional career, she has learned that the way you think and what you focus on make all the difference, and that your mindset is where it all begins. Her life experiences contributed to the person she has become, someone who learned what it means to truly love yourself, someone she has become proud of. As a Surinamese born and raised who has worked and lived on the island of St. Maarten, she is a true adventurer and nomad with knowledge of - and respect for different cultures. She received her education from Hogeschool in Holland, with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics for her education in Management, Economics & Law. She has over 14 years of experience in Human Resources and has coached, guided, and advised leaders, managers as well as HR professionals within a wide range of organizations throughout her career. Marilyn is currently residing in the Netherlands and provides HR consultancy and coaching services international and she is also an inspirational speaker. Her curiosity and interest in the human mind, how it works, the impact of the subconscious mind and the power of consciousness, have led her to become certified as a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner and Access Bars® practitioner. With these skills she is able to help her clients on their way to success through an integrated coaching method. While her focus is on personal effectiveness and leadership through mindset coaching, she also provides coaching for life issues and overcoming of fears. She can proudly say that all of her interests and life experiences (both challenging and fun) have prepared and equipped her for her mission to make a difference in women's lives, by inspiring them on their personal journey to success and happiness. With this in mind, she founded "Female In Flow" to coach and guide women to find their "flow", just like she has.        ¨I believe in the empowerment of women, because empowered women, empower men and empowered men empower women.¨          With this in mind, she envisions a world where everyone is living In Flow and effortlessly achieving their goals. She is therefore committed to coach and inspire others to live their passion and full potential. Riding the Waves

Riding the Waves: Uplifting conversation with our host Leslie and our guest speaker Harris Inskeep.  Before joining the world of professional pastry, I was a kindergarten teacher in Los Angeles and New York City for four years. Working with kids has always been a passion of mine, but so has baking. As a kid, I would set up shop in our family’s kitchen baking cookies, dessert bars and cakes for anyone who would taste them. In college, I would break from my studies to bake treats in my apartment and send them to friends all over the country. As an adult, I would often daydream about how or when I might be able to make baking more than a hobby... Finally, in the winter of 2018, I took a class with a pastry chef and shop owner in Paris who inspired me with her conversion story to pastry as a profession. To my surprise, there was no eureka moment or divine intervention, she just knew what she enjoyed doing, believed that she had a message to share with her pastries, enrolled in a course and dove right in. Two days later, I flew back to New York and decided to do the same. After graduating from the International Culinary Center in New York City, I joined the pastry team at Gramercy Tavern. Working in a professional kitchen, I enjoyed learning new techniques and partaking in the creation of beautiful and delicious desserts. But I missed that moment of contact and exchange with the client; contemplating the menu, imagining the different flavor combinations and indulging in their sweet finale. So in my free time, I started taking custom cake orders - I've always enjoyed creating cakes to reflect a personality or occasion, and I love how inviting and convivial they are. As more and more requests came in for cakes and other sweets, I decided to expand the operation and launch Harris Bakes. The goal in all of this is to continue doing what I love: baking for people. From custom cakes to bagels, cinnamon buns, cookies, pastries and more, I love to collaborate with my clients to make their sweet wishes and designs come to life.
