Credit where credit is due: Game developers call for simpler, consistent creative credits

If you work in the games industry it can be surprisingly complex to get your name into the end credits, that ending sequence often doesn't include everyone who helped to ship that video game. Project based work and short contracts, and inconsistent recognition makes it more complex than you'd think for developers to get the acknowledgement of the work put in. It's something that Alexander Swords, one of the members of the Games Credit Special Interest Group (SIG), part of the International Game Developers Association wants to change with a standarised system of creative credits. METROID DREAD is a faithful and excellent return of the series that spawned a genre

METROID DREAD is the first 2D sidescrolling game in the iconic series in almost 20 years, which continues directly on from the 2002 title METROID FUSION for the Gameboy Advance. Games journalist Chantelle McColl (GamesHub, Byteside) and METROID series veteran joins Mainstream to share her thoughts on the game. A challenging entry into the series with lots of new features, there is plenty here to love, but some challenging controls and old fashioned legacy design in parts might leave some new players scratching their heads.
