The Business Behind Broadway Magic With Sue Gilad

On The Daily Mastermind, George Wright III welcomes Grammy and five-time Tony Award-winning producer Sue Gilad for a look at what Broadway can teach entrepreneurs about turning ideas into reality. Gilad explains how growing up as a theater kid led her to producing, why strong partners should cover the skills you lack, and why a pitch only works when the project is truly in your heart and soul. She shares how out-of-town tryouts and candid audience reactions guide creative decisions, why live theater may be an antidote to AI, and how 399 rejections can lead to one yes. Gilad also breaks down the business side of art, the long-term potential of a show, and the daily question that helps her delegate: What can only we do? The conversation closes on choosing experiences over possessions and using stories to create empathy. 00:00 — Broadway Failure 00:35 — Meet Sue Gilad 02:50 — Becoming a Broadway Producer 05:35 — Cast Your Weaknesses 09:05 — Pitch With Conviction 09:55 — Theater’s Human Advantage 13:10 — Reframing Rejection 15:50 — When Art Meets Commerce 18:20 — Focus on Your Best Work 20:55 — Experiences Over Things Thanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. It would really help us to grow our show and share these valuable tips and strategies with others. Have a great day. Create Your Own Wins with Anthony Suppa

George Wright III interviews US Marine Corps veteran and serial entrepreneur Anthony Suppa about applying Marine Corps discipline to restaurant leadership, managing people differently, and using failure as a learning tool rather than a stopping point. Suppa explains that motivation should come from accomplishing goals, not the temporary “high” of speakers, and that entrepreneurs must embrace grind, rejection, and persistence. He shares how years of a Toys for Tots toy drive grew into Slice of Charity after partnering with Oheka Castle and hosting events that drew 1,500 people, fueling a mission to help veterans, military families, and children in need. Suppa emphasizes running the charity with volunteers and minimal admin costs, incorporating work into daily life, delegating to grow, and launching Veteran Ally for Commerce to generate profits that fund the charity without relying on donations or grants. 00:00 Dream Big Mindset 02:02 Marine Corps Lessons in Business 03:40 Resilience and Redefining Failure 04:49 Motivation vs Discipline Wins 06:39 Entrepreneur vs Self Employed Grind 07:31 Origin of Slice of Charity 10:17 Scaling the Charity with Integrity 11:08 Making Time and Work Life Balance 12:31 Veteran Ally for Commerce Model 13:57 Vision Multitasking and Delegation Thanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. It would really help us to grow our show and share these valuable tips and strategies with others. Have a great day. Reach the Right Audience Through Podcasts Spencer Carpenter

George Wright III welcomes Spencer Carpenter, founder of Outlier Audio, to explain how podcasting helps entrepreneurs build authority, trust, and long-term business value. Drawing on more than 3,500 interviews booked since 2020, Spencer shows why the right audience matters more than the largest audience and how long-form conversations let personality and expertise come through. He breaks down the KAOR framework—keywords, audience, outcomes, and reputable figures—for finding relevant shows and developing topics that connect. The conversation also explores hosting versus guesting, the hidden value of relationships and SEO, and why interviews should be treated as reusable content and personal-brand assets rather than judged only by immediate sales. Spencer’s challenge is simple: clarify who you want to reach, what outcome they want, and build podcast opportunities around fit instead of vanity metrics. 00:00 — Right Audience Over Reach 01:00 — Meet Spencer Carpenter 02:00 — From Music to Podcasting 05:00 — Entrepreneurs as the Talent 08:00 — Hosting Versus Guesting 09:00 — Strategy Before Perfection 12:00 — Why Guest Interviews Work 16:00 — The KAOR Framework 21:00 — Value Beyond Direct Sales 25:00 — Building Lasting Authority Thanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. It would really help us to grow our show and share these valuable tips and strategies with others. Have a great day. What Rich People Do Differently With Their Money with Buck Joffrey

George Wright III hosts Buck Joffrey, a former neurosurgeon who shifted to plastics, then entrepreneurship, real estate investing, and financial education. Buck explains he left neurosurgery due to lifestyle demands and moved toward a more entrepreneurial path, later starting the Wealth Formula podcast because existing shows didn’t address high-income professionals trying to optimize what to do next rather than escape a 9–5. He outlines his “Mathematical Wealth Formula” (mass invested, velocity of return, and leverage), warns that entrepreneurs can be poor investors when they overconcentrate in their own business, and emphasizes treating personal finances as a separate business you actively manage. Buck highlights tax strategy as a major wealth lever, including using vacation rentals, cost segregation, and tax-law benefits to offset W2 income, and discusses macro-driven positioning such as discounted, rate-sensitive real estate and expectations for rates to decline over the next few years. 00:00 High Income Wealth Questions 01:57 From Neurosurgery to Plastics 02:53 Medical Mindset to Business 03:46 Mathematical Wealth Formula 05:59 Ditch Cookie Cutter Advisors 08:21 Tax Strategy With Real Estate 11:19 Golden Handcuffs and Fear 13:19 Macro Outlook and Rates 15:27 Markets on Sale Real Estate 17:16 Seven Secrets Overview 18:51 Why He Started Podcasting Thanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. It would really help us to grow our show and share these valuable tips and strategies with others. Have a great day. Building a Future That Pulls You Forward

George Wright III explains why many entrepreneurs don’t really have a motivation problem—they have a clarity problem. Founders can become so consumed by customers, cash flow, deadlines, and past setbacks that they stay productive without feeling directed or fulfilled. George contrasts the fear and pressure that push people into action with a compelling vision that pulls them toward a better future. He separates goals, vision, and purpose: goals define what you want to accomplish, vision shows where you’re going, and purpose explains why the journey matters. He then offers three practical questions: What do I want my life to look like? Why does that future matter? Who do I need to become to create it? The challenge is to stop using the past as a blueprint and let your future self shape the decisions you make today. 00:00 — Who Do You Need to Become? 01:00 — Motivation or Missing Clarity? 02:00 — Productivity Without Direction 03:00 — Your Past Isn’t Your Destination 04:00 — Let Vision Pull You 05:00 — Goals, Vision, and Purpose 06:00 — Let Your Future Self Decide 07:00 — Three Questions Create Direction 08:00 — Write the Next Chapter Thanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. It would really help us to grow our show and share these valuable tips and strategies with others. Have a great day. Design Your Life Before Your Business Designs It for You

George Wright III challenges entrepreneurs to ask whether the business they built for freedom has quietly taken control of their time. He explains that a calendar reveals real priorities, why a business should be designed around an ideal life, and why revenue or growth alone won’t create freedom. Real freedom requires deliberate systems, delegation, boundaries, leadership, and a clear definition of what success should provide. George argues that success should expand choices instead of multiplying obligations, and that a great business should support better health, stronger relationships, meaningful work, and more control over time. He closes by asking listeners to review their calendars, remove or delegate an obligation, protect time for what matters, and start designing life intentionally before the business designs it for them. 00:00 — Business Should Support Your Life 00:25 — Is Your Business in Control? 01:35 — Your Calendar Reveals Priorities 02:55 — Build Around Your Ideal Life 04:20 — Freedom Requires Intention 05:50 — Success Should Create Choices 07:05 — A Better Measure of Success 08:25 — Redesign Your Business and Life Thanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. It would really help us to grow our show and share these valuable tips and strategies with others. Have a great day. Next Level Mindset with Nathan Winston

George Wright III interviews Nathan Winston—former professional baseball player, coach, corrections officer, motivational speaker, and founder of Next Level Mindset—about overcoming obstacles and reframing setbacks. Winston shares being born with PFFD, having his left leg amputated at age four, and being told he would never play sports, yet competing in basketball, baseball, and football while managing sweating and frequent prosthetic failures. He explains how fear nearly stopped him from running onto the court in seventh grade, which shaped his principle of “getting comfortable being uncomfortable.” The conversation focuses on fear of failure, redefining success as doing everything you can, building self-belief, and surrounding yourself with positive people. Winston discusses dark moments from injuries and breaks, and says a work injury motivated him to start writing a memoir and sharing his story through speaking and podcasts. 00:00 Fear Before Tipoff 01:51 Nathan’s Amputation Story 03:17 Early Mindset and Sports Drive 04:22 Prosthetic Struggles in Games 05:49 Injuries and Quitting Football 06:40 Next Level Mindset Explained 08:28 Fear of Failure and Reframing 10:34 Daily Rituals and Broken Foot Story 12:22 Helping Others Build Confidence 14:59 Memoir Motivation and Setbacks Thanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. It would really help us to grow our show and share these valuable tips and strategies with others. Have a great day. Guest Bio Nathan Winston is a former professional baseball player, speaker, and advocate for embracing adversity as a path to growth. Born with a rare condition called Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency, Nathan had his left leg amputated at four years old. That never stopped him from competing. Growing up, he played football, basketball, and baseball alongside his peers while learning to overcome challenges most athletes never face—from repairing his prosthetic during games to pitching on a cracked prosthetic foot held together with a homemade splint and duct tape. Nathan’s determination eventually took him all the way to professional baseball. Through injuries, setbacks, and some of the most difficult moments of his life, he developed what he calls the Next Level Mindset: the understanding that confidence comes after doing the uncomfortable thing, not before. His philosophy is simple: “Get comfortable being uncomfortable until you get comfortable.” Today, Nathan shares his story to inspire others to see adversity differently—not as something that has to define their future, but as an experience that can prepare them for their purpose. Create Once, Influence Forever: Building Content That Compounds

In this Wednesday episode of The Daily Mastermind, George Wright III explains how entrepreneurs can stop creating “expiring” content and instead build evergreen assets that compound over time. He argues that the best content doesn’t interrupt people’s lives—it improves them—and that educational content builds trust faster than constant promotion by demonstrating expertise and thought leadership at scale. George encourages founders to create leverage by turning one meaningful idea (like a podcast episode) into multiple formats—YouTube, short reels, articles, newsletters, quotes, presentations, or trainings—so the work continues producing value months or years later. He also emphasizes that consistency beats perfection, warning against overthinking and waiting to publish, and challenges listeners to pick one helpful idea, create around it, then strategically distribute it. 00:00 Create Leverage With Content 00:49 Stop Posting Expiring Content 02:07 Content As Business Asset 03:18 Teach To Build Trust 04:39 Create Once Repurpose Everywhere 06:09 Consistency Beats Perfection 07:34 Make Content Compound Thanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. It would really help us to grow our show and share these valuable tips and strategies with others. Have a great day.
