    Send us Fan Mail In this episode, Caylen sits back down with Frank Green of Bartlein Barrels for the second installment of their barrel series — and this one gets deep into the details that actually matter when you sit down to load ammo. Frank kicks things off by sharing real hard data from his 765 PRC pressure testing project with Hornady and Sierra — including what ten-shot groups loaded with standard off-the-shelf dies actually looked like — and why the difference between those groups and what a $400 custom die set produces might be smaller than you think. They dig into reloading die selection, shoulder bump, neck tension, small base versus full-length sizing, and what the data actually says about brand loyalty when it comes to brass. The conversation then moves into chamber anatomy — throat diameter, forcing cone angles, freebore, and what "match chamber" actually means (and doesn't mean) when you're ordering a barrel. Frank brings out a 50-cal cutaway and the barrel that went over 14,000 rounds still shooting half-minute to illustrate what carbon actually looks like inside a bore — and why borescopes have made his life harder, not easier. He and Caylen also unpack twist rate selection for heavier 6mm projectiles, why velocity plays a role in bullet stability at the margins, and why some bullet designs have simply pushed a caliber past its limits — and no twist rate fix will solve a bad design.
