Quality

I’ve been listening to podcasts since 2010 and as one might guess, enjoyed hundreds of episodes from many shows (mainly on international relations). And this is my very first review of a podcast in a decade, just because i feel indebted to the people behind that “desk”.

There are four points I would like to underline: FIRST, as an int’l rel’ns and security enthusiast of considerable background in relevant subjects, I can argue that both selection of topics is highly accurate and cultivation of issues is quite deft. Each episode gives you a 101-level background before diving into it. SECOND, as a subscriber of around two dozen such shows at any given time for a decade, I can safely say that there could be few rivals of the wit of the host who is the main drive for the show to be this mellifluous. His puns are not only the result of his sense of humor, but also of his acquaintance with the matter at hand. THIRD, as a 44-year old long-time radio/podcast listener, I am sick of country-oriented (mostly US&UK) programs. Thus, I deeply appreciate the value of the true globalist stance this show has been invariably retaining.

Therefore, I strongly recommend “The Foreign Desk” to anyone interested in foreign policy issues. Regards to all producers and listeners of such programs.
