Defense Attorney Bob Motta on States Telling Response To Delphi Odin Claims

Could the 126-page Delphi document be hiding more truths than initially perceived? In a recent episode of the podcast "Hidden Killers," Tony Brueski conversed with Defense Attorney and Host of "Defense Diaries," Bob Motta, about the controversial Delphi documents. These papers, a riveting 126 pages, are saturated with allegations of Odinistic cults killing children in the woods. However, as Motta keenly points out, "strip away all the Odinism crap" and beneath the thick narrative, one can find unsettling facts. Amidst the bulk of pages detailing the history of Odinism, there lie statements from witnesses whose tales are hard to ignore. "The statements from these three and four guys were guys telling two of his sisters that he was there at the scene," Brueski recounts. One particularly chilling account involves a man inquiring of law enforcement: "If you found my spit on one of the girls and I was able to explain it to you. Why it was there, would I still be in trouble?" The same man's sister later approached law enforcement, alleging that her brother confessed his presence at the murder scene. She subsequently underwent a polygraph test. According to Motta, if one were to omit the layers of Odinistic claims, the facts embedded within the document are compelling. "It seems like it could have been communicated much clearer without the extremes," Brueski mused. Motta expressed concern that the truth might be getting obscured: "The forest is getting lost in the trees." The manner in which this potentially groundbreaking evidence was presented, embedded within wild theories, raised eyebrows and turned heads. However, the state's response to the document may hold more clues. As Brueski noted, the state described the narrative as "colorful, dramatic, and very unprofessional." Yet, a following statement intrigued both podcasters: "and it's not completely true." This assertion implies that there are indeed elements of truth within the document, begging the question, which parts are factual? "All of the information in there... came from their own discovery," Motta stated. The defense will be able to produce the reports, proving they didn't fabricate any details. The document itself acknowledges the outlandish nature of its contents, with a section that reads: "Your honor, we realize you're going to read this and you're going to be like, this is insane. It's crazy." Yet, the defense maintains that they possess evidence to back every claim they've made. The state's retort avoided engagement with the Odinism claims, focusing only on the forthcoming Franks hearing. "They just answered as to what's important in it, which was the Frank's hearing. That's all they did. It was eight pages, short and sweet," Motta emphasized. The defense, in contrast, wove a dense narrative, while the state's reply was direct and fact-driven. Brueski and Motta are both gearing up for what promises to be an intense hearing. "It's going to be one of my favorite days ever in terms of covering true crime," Brueski remarked. Do Ruby Franke & Jodi Hildebrandt Still Have Loyal Fans?

But what happens when that trust is broken and, worse, when the guidance provided seems to intentionally destroy relationships? This is the question that has been echoing throughout the latest episodes of the "Hidden Killers" podcast. The spotlight has been thrust upon Jodi Hildebrandt, a therapist recently accused of questionable practices that appear to have had a detrimental effect on couples who consulted her. As shared by podcast host Tony Brueski, "...absolutely miserably her counseling and marriage counseling failed them, oftentimes seeming like she was going out of her way to break the couples up." Moreover, it appears that there may be an underlying bias, as Brueski continued, "...seemingly she had quite a vendetta against males." Such allegations, if proven, could mean a breach of the ethical responsibility a therapist owes to their clients. The discussion escalated when legal implications came to the forefront. Former Federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani weighed in on the potential fallout. Speaking of potential lawsuits for emotional distress or professional malpractice, Rahmani explained, "It's possible, you know some sort of professional liability or malpractice claim." However, the practicalities of such actions are more complicated. There's a grave concern about Hildebrandt's diagnostic methods, as Brueski noted, "She is diagnosing folks with things that really aren't even in the DSM book." Misdiagnosis could indeed lead to significant harm to patients. Drawing parallels with another case, the Kouri Richins situation, Rahmani outlined the practicality of potential lawsuits. Essentially, pursuing legal action might be viable, but the outcome in terms of monetary recovery remains uncertain. "The chances of you collecting on this might be slim to none," Rahmani pointed out, emphasizing that even if a judgment is secured, enforcing it is another challenge altogether. Yet the controversy around Hildebrandt does not end with her therapy methods. More serious charges have emerged, including child abuse. The public's response to such allegations is unpredictable. Rahmani, with his experience in representing and suing celebrities, provided a perspective that might be hard for many to digest. He said, "I've seen it where people...refuse to believe that their favorite celebrity can do any wrong despite the evidence." This is a stark reminder that public perception can often overshadow facts and testimonies. I'm Tony Brueski, and this podcast is my deep dive into one of the most chilling serial murder cases in modern American history — the Gilgo Beach murders and the case against Rex Heuermann, the New York architect now charged with the killing of seven women spanning from 1993 to 2010.
