Tesamorelin. The Only FDA Approved Peptide for Visceral Fat. And What the Research Says About Your Brain Too.

In this episode I cover Tesamorelin, one of the most research backed peptides I have ever talked about on this podcast. Unlike most compounds in this space Tesamorelin has full FDA approval and two large Phase 3 human clinical trials behind it showing real measurable reductions in visceral fat, the deep internal fat around your organs that is the most dangerous kind and the hardest to lose. I explain what it is, how it works, and why the fact that it works with your body's own natural growth hormone system rather than overriding it matters so much. I also cover the cognitive research, including a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association showing improvements in executive function and verbal memory in adults over 60. I am honest about the off-label use distinction and what your doctor needs to monitor. And I address something honestly that most people promoting this peptide do not talk about. What happens when you stop and what that means for your approach to using it. This is one of the most exciting research backed episodes I have done. Explained like you are in 5th grade the way I always do it. Want to learn more? Part 2. Before You Let Anyone Inject You. What You Need to Know.

This is part two of a conversation I started in my last episode. Before You Inject Anything. What You Need to Know About Research Grade Peptides and Why It Matters. If you have not listened to that one yet I recommend starting there first. In this episode I want to talk about something I get asked about constantly. People are going to wellness clinics and med spas and getting peptide injections. And they are walking out thinking they did everything right because a medical professional gave them the shot. But looking legitimate and being legitimate are two very different things. I explain exactly what the law requires before anyone can legally give you a peptide injection. I share something most people do not know. You have the right to ask for a copy of your prescription and a legitimate provider must be able to give it to you. I talk about documented enforcement action that happened in 2025 against clinics doing this wrong. And I share something that really got to me. Some people are paying premium prices for products that may be coming from unverified sources with no legitimate prescription behind them. Then I give you three specific questions to ask before you let anyone inject anything into your body. Anywhere. If you want to learn how I personally access peptides through a licensed telehealth provider with real doctor supervision DM me PODCAST on Instagram @peptideswithmichele and I will point you in the right direction. Before You Inject Anything. What You Need to Know About Research Grade Peptides and Why It Matters.

I have been getting messages from people who are mixing and injecting peptides on their own with no doctor involved, no guidance on how to reconstitute them correctly, and no idea what dose is appropriate for their situation. This episode is for them. And for anyone who is considering going that route. I am not here to judge anyone. I am here to give you the information you may have not been given before you started. In this episode I explain what research grade actually means and why the not for human use label is not just a legal formality. I share something that most people do not know, if you are mixing a powder at home before injecting it that is research grade. Pharmaceutical grade comes already prepared from a certified pharmacy. I talk about how to verify whether a provider is actually using a legitimate 503A certified pharmacy. I address what is actually happening at some med spas and wellness clinics and why just because a medical professional is giving the injection does not mean what is in that needle is safe or legally prescribed for you specifically. I explain why peptide supplements are a completely different category from pharmaceutical grade injectables. I break down the reconstitution problem and the dosing problem and what a real doctor supervised protocol actually gives you that self sourcing never can. If you are doing this on your own or thinking about it please listen to this episode first. GLP-1s. What You Need to Know While You Are On One.

Getting on a GLP-1 is just the beginning. What you do while you are on it matters enormously for your results and your long term health. In this episode I cover the five most important things for anyone who is on or considering a GLP-1. I’m discussing protein and why it is the most critical thing to prioritize and what the published research actually says about how much you need to protect your muscle. Strength training and why without it you risk losing the wrong kind of weight. Hydration and electrolytes and why most GLP-1 side effects are made significantly worse by dehydration. Food quality and why using this window to build real habits changes everything long term. And safe access and what legitimate doctor supervised care actually looks like and why it matters. This episode is exciting. Share it with anyone you know who is on or considering a GLP-1. Lyme Disease and Peptides. My Personal Story and What the Research Actually Says.

This is one of the most personal episodes I have done. I have Lyme disease. I was diagnosed in my late 40s completely by accident through a routine eye exam with a new doctor who noticed something previous exams had missed. Specialists. A CT scan. Comprehensive blood tests. And buried in those results was Lyme disease, something nobody had even been looking for. The eye and the Lyme turned out to be completely unrelated. My infectious disease doctor confirmed that. And I was told I had probably had Lyme since childhood, living with it dormant for decades. In this episode I share the whole story including the fact that I never saw a tick and never had a bullseye rash and the research on why that is more common than most people realize. I talk about how conventional medicine did not have much to offer and how finding an integrative provider changed things before peptides even entered the picture. And I share my personal experience using peptides under doctor supervision, GLP-1 including tirzepatide which I am still on today for inflammation, stubborn weight gain, and flare control including the published research on why GLP-1 helps with reward seeking behavior around food and alcohol. Thymosin Alpha-1 for immune regulation and my asthma that is now almost completely gone with measurable breathing test results. NAD plus for brain fog and mental clarity. I also acknowledge that Lyme affects people very differently and my experience has been more manageable than many. This is not a cure story. It is an honest conversation. If you have been sick and dismissed for years this episode is for you. FDA Advisory Committee Just Voted on Peptides. What Happened Today and Why It Matters.

This podcast is for educational purposes only and is not intended as medical advice. I am not a doctor. Always consult your physician before starting any new health regimen. Today something happened that I have never seen before in this space. I watched live as a formal FDA advisory committee voted in favor of four of the most researched peptides in the wellness and longevity world for inclusion on the official list that creates a clear legal compounding pathway through licensed pharmacies and real doctor prescriptions. BPC-157. KPV. TB-500. And MOTS-c. These peptides are currently available through licensed telehealth providers with real doctor supervision. Today’s vote is about creating an even more formally recognized pathway going forward. Nothing changes for people currently on a protocol. Today is a validation of what has already been happening not a starting point. . I also share something that happened during today’s hearing that stopped me cold. A physician on the committee who voted in favor of these peptides shared a story about a patient whose research grade peptide was later tested and found to be laced with MDMA. That story alone is worth the listen. Want to learn how I personally access peptides through a licensed telehealth provider with real doctor supervision?
