    Rooted in His Character

    In this episode of Rooted, Jenn gets personal about her journey of learning Scripture as an adult and shares three things she is learning about God’s character:  God is sovereign. Even when we don’t understand what He’s doing, we can trust that He sees the whole picture.  God sees and hears us. We are never invisible to Him—not in our suffering, our mistakes, our waiting, or our uncertainty.  God is a promise keeper. God’s promises don’t change because our circumstances change or because we fall short. His character remains faithful. Because we don’t have to know everything about God’s plan to trust the God who does.     Rooted In Surrender

    Welcome back to Season 2 of the Rooted Podcast! Today we kick off the season with a very special episode in honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. This heartfelt conversation with 3 moms whose children are living with DIPG will inspire you and make you think about where your faith is truly rooted. I was blessed to speak to these 3 beautiful Moms. Learn more about them here: Katie - lives in VA with husband, Nick, and sons, Luke 12 and John Paul 10.  We are JMU sports fans and enjoy trips to the beach and spending time with family and friends. John Paul was diagnosed with DIPG 16 months ago and continues to be in the fight.  When not working and taking care of the boys, Nick and Katie have become deeply involved in increasing awareness about DIPG and raising money to support research.   Holly lives in Indiana with her husband, Josh, and three girls: Ella, 14; Mya, 11; and Cora, 9. We love spending time together and enjoying nature. We are becoming even more deeply rooted in God's word and purpose for our lives as we move through this new battle.  Fallon lives in Washington State with her husband, Roger, and their four daughters—Tanner and Taylor, 17, Tinsley, 15, and Tylie, 13. They are an active, multi-sport family who loves winters in the mountains and summers on the lake. Faith is the foundation of their family, and through Tylie’s battle, that foundation has only grown stronger. Their trust in God has become their fight song. Fallon created TobinPartyof6 to encourage others walking through battles of their own, support local teams, and share God’s Word through faith-based apparel. Ten percent of all profits are donated to pediatric brain tumor research.
