位於基隆八斗子的海洋科技博物館，每年的電費高達新台幣兩千四百萬元，如果館方想要把冷氣稍微調降溫度，立刻就會受到參觀民眾的客訴，讓館方左右為難。去年海科館與台達電子文教基金會等單位共同合作，導入「Green BIM微氣候資訊平台」的資料，只不過調整冷氣預開的時間，就讓夏季尖峰時段的用電下降，不但不再收到用電契約容量超約的罰單，抱怨冷氣不冷的的客訴更在實驗當月歸零。
