A Weird Grimms Fairytale: The Glass Coffin

In the need of a happy distraction? Let's get Grimm! Join me for tonight's fairy tale set back Once Upon a Time, where we follow a lucky tailor as he uncovers a evil magician's creepy plot to take over a castle, imprison the princess in a glass coffin (which is really more like a glass chest, but I digress), capture her people as gas and vapor in glass jars, and turn her beloved brother into a Stag! A lot happens, yet nothing happens, but it's a happy ending all the same, which, I don't know about you, but is really welcome to me right now! A Dark Fairytale: The Princess Who Was Hidden Underground

Would you be able to find your way through a dark, underground palace? Would you magically know the secret password to open hidden doors? This king is counting on your failure... but let's just see how one brave (and bold!) suitor can master the underground labyrinth in order to find the princess bride! Once upon a time there was a king who had great riches, which, when he died, he divided among his three sons. The two eldest of these lived in rioting and feasting, and thus wasted and squandered their father’s wealth till nothing remained, and they found themselves in want and misery. The youngest of the three sons, on the contrary, made good use of his portion. He married a wife and soon they had a most beautiful daughter, for whom, when she was grown up, he caused a great palace to be built underground, and then offed the architect who had built it. Next he shut up his daughter inside, and then sent heralds all over the world to make known that he who should find the king’s daughter should have her to wife. If he were not capable of finding her then he must die. Many young men sought to discover her, but all perished in the attempt... Will this be a "happily ever after" fairytale? We shall see! Join me for tonight's travails amid underground caves, caverns, and beautiful palace walls! The catch is: we are following the tale of one handsome would-be suitor as he is disguised AS A SHEEP! Well, a lamb specifically. Apparently this fools the king and who knows, it could win the brave bold young man a princess as a wife! A Scandalous Fairytale: The Swineherd

I do hope you enjoy the this evening's fairytale bedtime story! How many kisses is too many? 96? The Scandal! Join me as I softly read this classic Hans Christian Andersen fairytale "The Swineherd." Look. It's weird. Of course. “He will have a hundred kisses from the Princess!” said the lady who had been to ask. “I think he is not in his right senses!” said the Princess, and walked on, but when she had gone a little way, she stopped again. “One must encourage art,” said she, “I am the Emperor's daughter. Tell him he shall, as on yesterday, have ten kisses from me, and may take the rest from the ladies of the court.” “Oh—but we should not like that at all!” said they. “What are you muttering?” asked the Princess. “If I can kiss him, surely you can. Remember that you owe everything to me.” So the ladies were obliged to go to him again. “A hundred kisses from the Princess,” said he, “or else let everyone keep his own!” “Stand round!” said she; and all the ladies stood round her whilst the kissing was going on. “What can be the reason for such a crowd close by the pigsty?” said the Emperor, who happened just then to step out on the balcony; he rubbed his eyes, and put on his spectacles. “They are the ladies of the court; I must go down and see what they are about!” So he pulled up his slippers at the heel, for he had trodden them down. As soon as he had got into the court-yard, he moved very softly, and the ladies were so much engrossed with counting the kisses, that all might go on fairly, that they did not perceive the Emperor. He rose on his tiptoes...
