Being in your twenties is kind of like walking directionless in a vast field and then being hit by someone on a swing. Joe Biden made a podcast so we decided, as two twenty-somethings with no real world experience and a wisdom value in the negatives, to make one too. Rainie Toll and Darcy Neureiter are two liberal arts grads with a penchant for f*cking things up. Follow them as they swing and miss gloriously.

    Lavender Calvin Klein G String

It’s time to choose team captains for the age old thong vs panty debate. Rainie and Darcy adopt diametrically opposed positions for the discourse of a lifetime. As controversial issues often do, it stirs up some information previously lost in the depths of our psyches- including redeeming, vulnerable insights into one of the podcast’s peripheral characters and missed opportunities to meet Phoebe Wallerbridge.  Yeah, we know this topic isn’t on par with the trying times. And by trying times we mean a QAnon shaman with his legs on Nancy Pelosi’s desk. But, it does serve as a little vacation for the soul. Remember 2019, when pantylines were a substantial worry? The good old days. Remi-fucking-niscent.  Topics included: The inevitable demise of hanky panky, Fixer Upper boys, unfriendly underpant eras,  grimy hook ups, generation yaga pant, Yummy by Justin Bieber

    20s on 20th on 2020

Oh 2020, you venomous assailant with a penchant for dismay. We’ll be processing this trip around the sun long into our 80s, but for now, we assemble young people across the globe to discuss lessons they found as a consolation prize for the hardship, loneliness, and grief the year provided.  The year’s daily activities included fending off cockroach infestations, managing isolation, and negotiating with TSA agents about taking your lizard on the plane. On the front lines, it was holding up ipads to covid patients whose death wish went unfulfilled. We’ll review the humorous, heartbreaking, and inspiring stories from 2020- and what we learned from it all. Topics included: tales from a car thief, unsatisfying elementary school friends, Pittsburgh Saturdays, Hollywood debuts via snapchat, embarrassing moments from your screenwriting college course

Michael Barbaro in a Leotard at the Disco

The season of Spotify Wrapped is upon us. Get ready to click through hundreds of “top artist” instagram stories and analyze why and how a niche 80s rock band is your most played. Instead of taking that algorithm seriously, we decided to choose emblematic songs of 2020 ourselves, with an agenda that includes Cher, The Jackson 5, and Pharell. Breadth and depth as we like to say.  We also discuss the under discussed in a new segment, Not Spoken About Enough, created to provide a venue for processing moments not given their due stardom, such as forgotten middle school trends, rampant sexuality of talk show and podcast hosts, and why yoga is so goddamn hard sometimes. I blame you Gwenyth Paltrow.  Fi Sullivan, young female musician on the rise: https://www.fisounds.com/ Check out her new single We're Not Alone on Spotify and stay tuned for her imminent EP.

I wrote a hit play! And I'm in love with you!

No one depicts a high powered dweeb experiencing the agony of identity dysphoria and unrequited love better than Wes Anderson himself. So this week, we analyze another coming of age film whose beloved and complex protagonist is in crisis.  We'll explore the ways in which we see ourselves in Rushmore’s leading man, Max Fischer, in all his glory, absurdism, wisdom, naivete, and painfully relevant flaws.  It's love, it's loss, it's belonging, it's drama. I wrote a hit play! And I'm in love with you! Topics included: Day hikes not illuminating a sense of purpose, utilizing the confidence of a 6’2 white man, Freudian complexes (reprise), unleashing bees as revenge, trying to build an aquarium for someone who doesn’t love you and then getting expelled This week Doing It Wrong is donating to Food Bank of the Rockies which distributes 2 million pounds of food to those in need each week. According to a study done by Denver University in 2019, 1 in 6 Denver households experience food insecurity or hunger and that number is rising due to the pandemic. Lifestyles of the Anxious and Famous

Ever wondered what it’s like to execute a Robert Di Niro Scorsese film level performances, engineer theatre kid reality tv shows, and spoof the greatest mid-2000s Australian mermaid show of all time within 60 second time frames? Today's your day. The aforementioned list is a reflection of the creative brilliance of Vienna Ayla: a woman who defies reality itself.    This week we talk to rising comedienne Vienna about the circumstances and experiences that shaped her into the performer and person she is today. She teeters between reality, fantasy, and performance as we discuss the surveillance of sexuality at elite boarding schools, resilience in the face of profound psychological obstacles, fame, loyalty, and the importance of bravery.  Topics included: the power of the  Italian-American dynasty, bionic children, manifestations of OCD, how to build characters on tik tok, the upsides to divorce, a variety of falsified lifehacks, going viral, feeling like you can fly the plane better than the pilot   This week Doing it Wrong is donating to the ACLU of Georgia in an effort to help them protect Georgians' voting rights as the state heads into a fierce runoff election this January which will determine control of the Senate. Miranda Writes

Moments of startling clarity can come at unexpected times. Like last weekend when I was standing on the porch of a home that wasn’t mine and someone asked me where I was going. I quite obviously took the question figuratively and realized with a jolt that I have absolutely no idea where I am going at any given time.  This week we talk to Miranda Whitney, who experienced a critical moment of clarity standing in the doorway of her mother’s bedroom. In a stroke of lucidity, Miranda commenced her recovery journey from an all-consuming alcohol addiction.  We follow Miranda’s path from middle school in Denver through college in Oxford, Ohio. We discuss anxiety, depression, addiction, and strategies for living amongst it all. Prepare to be delighted, captivated, and then brought to tears. You have the right to remain silent. But you also have the right to say whatever the fuck you want. And that’s what Miranda did. Content Warning: This episode contains themes and explicit descriptions of addiction, alcoholism, and mental illness Find Miranda Whitney's writing here: https://ogmirr.wixsite.com/unsolicitedopinion This week Doing It Wrong is donating to Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective whose mission is to facilitate emotional healthcare and healing for Black communities through education, advocacy, and the creative arts. If You Get Murdered, I'll Avenge Your Death

Another week as a twenty something, another week getting bitch slapped by your own short- comings. We’ve talked about romance and sexual chaos, but this week we discuss what is arguably the joy and nectar of the universe: Friends. They make it all bearable. They give you life, they push you to go out when you shouldn’t, they hold you accountable, they contribute to your personhood, but they also change. And you change. In your twenties, the friendship tracks that have been reliably parallel often diverge and then take turns and dives. This week we talk about the challenges of navigating ever-evolving friendships in your twenties and how our friends can precipitate personal reckonings and critical periods of self-development.   Topics Included: coffin friends, the risk of actually caring, well-intentioned stand-offs, why we are the way we are, self-reliance, hypocrisy, the most beautiful parts of friendship.    This week, we're donating to Abortion Access For All to honor Ruth Bader Ginsberg's legacy and help prevent the ban of abortions in Colorado. The money will work to prevent Prop 115 from being passed in November- a Colorado bill that forces women to continue pregnancies  without exceptions for risks to her health, even in cases of rape.
