StickerGate, Fake Income Screenshots & The Unhinged Reel

We’re diving into the kind of online business bullsh*t that makes you question whether people are building brands… or auditioning for reality TV. From StickerGate (yes, a real saga where a business owner faked hate mail for clout) to fake income receipts that magically appear thanks to screenshots, Photoshop and AI... to a coach going fully unhinged and making a reel dragging a smaller creator over… feeling annoyed by what they wrote on Facebook (???), we’re covering it all. But more importantly? We’re talking about what this says about the online business industry and why ethical marketing isn’t just the moral choice, it’s strategic. ✨ In this episode, we break down: The wild saga of StickerGate: how fake drama turned into real backlash Why income screenshots are now basically fan fiction The rise of “rage-bait content” and coaches who build platforms by punching down The psychology behind why people fake, fabricate, and overreact online How these trends are killing trust with consumers Why ethical marketing is the only long-game strategy worth playing What actual leadership looks like in a digital space full of noise Expect: Hot takes, honesty, business sense, and the kind of call-outs that actually HELP people instead of humiliating them for clicks. Also count how many times I say 'like' and 'literally' lmao. This is the episode every business owner needs to hear — especially if the online space has been giving you the ick lately.

The Price of Silence vs. The Risk of Speaking Up

In this episode of Not Your Basic Boss Babe, we delve into the complexities of political discourse in the business world, especially in the wake of recent events. The tragic assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk has ignited a nationwide conversation about the intersection of politics, business, and personal values. Key Takeaways: The Myth of Neutrality: Understand why "staying neutral" is, in itself, a political statement. Silence can be perceived as complicity, particularly by communities directly affected by harmful rhetoric. Cancel Culture vs. Accountability: Learn the difference between being "canceled" and being held accountable. For businesses, accountability means your audience deciding if your values align with theirs, not cancellation, but choice. Navigating Political Discourse: Gain insights into how business owners can approach political topics without alienating their audience, and the importance of aligning your brand with your core values. The Pricing Dilemma...

Scaling Isn’t About Charging More... It’s About Creating More Opportunities for People to Say Yes! In this episode, we dismantle the myth that “just raise your prices” is the ultimate growth strategy. I’m breaking down why constant price hikes can actually damage trust, alienate your audience, and stunt long-term growth — and what real scaling actually looks like. You’ll learn how to design an offer ecosystem that meets people where they are, leads them where they’re going, and creates multiple points of entry into your world. This is about building a staircase, not pulling up the ladder. Follow Your Business Bestie on Instagram Work with Your Business Bestie

Ever landed a dream client who knows what they're doing—only to end up second-guessing everything and dodging scope creep like it's your full-time job? In this episode, I’m breaking down what really happens when you work with high-expertise, high-investment clients—and why even the most “ideal” clients can become your most challenging. What you’ll learn: Why clients who are experts in your field often micromanage How to set boundaries without burning the bridge What to do when the client reframes their buyer’s remorse as “your delay” How to protect your energy (and reputation) in high-pressure client relationships The psychology behind power struggles in creative partnerships This is a must-listen for brand designers, content creators, creative entrepreneurs, and service providers who’ve ever walked away from a project asking, “Was that just me—or was that a little toxic?” You’ll walk away with tools, scripts, and mindset shifts to stand firm in your value—even when the client thinks they know best.

    I’m Back, B*tch

S3 E1: Done Is Better Than Perfect, Babe Welcome to Season 3 of Not Your Basic Boss Babe — and guess what? We’re kicking things off with a whole lot of realness and a much-needed reminder: DONE. IS. BETTER. THAN. PERFECT. 🫡✨ In this raw and unfiltered episode, your host Jordan Ashley (aka Your Business Bestie) comes back to the mic after a long AF pause — not because she didn’t have ideas, or even finished episodes… but because perfectionism, overwhelm, and “podcast rules” got in the way. Sound familiar? Whether you're a content creator, service provider, coach, or creative with 17 unfinished projects sitting in your Google Drive graveyard — this episode is your reminder to just post the damn thing. We’re talking about: The trap of halfway-done projects and perfectionist paralysis Why waiting until everything is “polished” is actually killing your momentum What happens when you stop overthinking and start executing (spoiler: magic) The behind-the-scenes of what really kept Jordan from publishing already-finished episodes Ditching the pressure to follow a perfect “podcast format” or launch strategy And why 2025 entrepreneurship is all about being unfiltered, unapologetic, and in motion This episode is a love letter to every boss babe, creative entrepreneur, and multi-hyphenate hustler who’s ever found themselves stuck in procrastination nation, waiting for everything to feel “ready.” Newsflash: You don’t need permission. You just need to hit publish. Done is the route. Perfect is the detour. And incomplete is where good ideas go to die. So if you’ve been sitting on a podcast, post, launch, offer, or idea… THIS is your sign to bring it to life.
