In a place far away, two groups have a very big disagreement. Because of this, many people cannot be with their families. They are waiting and hoping to go home. Right now, the two groups are starting to talk to each other. They are trying to make a special agreement, which is called a deal. A deal is like a big, important promise. This deal could help everyone return to their homes safely. Everyone hopes they can be free and live in peace. Talking and listening to each other is the first step to solving a big problem. Many people around the world are watching, and they all hope for a happy and peaceful ending for everyone.

Now, let's go through the story sentence by sentence. 現在，我們來一句一句學習這則故事。
In a place far away, two groups have a very big disagreement.

Our first word is 'deal'. D-E-A-L, deal. It means 協議. A deal is when people agree on something. A synonym for deal is 'agreement', and the opposite is 'disagreement'. Let's make a sentence: The two friends made a deal to share the cookies. 這兩個朋友達成協議，要一起分享餅乾。

Our second word is 'free'. F-R-E-E, free. It means 自由的 or 釋放. When someone is free, they can go where they want to go. A synonym is 'liberated', and an opposite is 'captured'. A sentence could be: The bird was happy to be free from its cage. 小鳥很高興能從籠子裡被釋放，重獲自由。

Our third word is 'hope'. H-O-P-E, hope. It means 希望. Hope is a feeling that you want something to happen. A synonym for hope is 'wish', and an opposite could be 'despair'. Let's use it in a sentence: I hope it will be sunny tomorrow for our picnic. 我希望明天是晴天，這樣我們才能去野餐。

Next up, we have 'safe'. S-A-F-E, safe. It means 安全的. When you are safe, you are protected from danger. A synonym is 'secure', and the opposite is 'dangerous'. For example: Please wear a helmet to keep your head safe when you ride a bike. 騎腳踏車時請戴上安全帽，保護你的頭部安全。

Our last word today is 'agreement'. A-G-R-E-E-M-E-N-T, agreement. It means 同意 or 共識. An agreement is a promise or a decision between two or more people. A synonym is 'understanding', and the opposite is 'conflict'. Here is a sentence: We have an agreement that we will finish our homework before playing. 我們約定好，玩耍前要先完成功課。
