    Winding Roads: The Music, The Pain, The Becoming with Jack Hickey

    On today’s episode, we are thrilled to be joined by Jake Hickey. Jake was born and raised in the southwest suburbs of Chicago and spent most of his 20s just trying to figure out his life, who he was, and what he wanted to do. He finally hit a point where he wanted to challenge himself mentally and spiritually and started pursuing music as a hobby. And what started as a hobby quickly became so much more. Music became an outlet for him to write about the things he was going through. It became a space for healing, an accelerator of growth, and ultimately a dream he is chasing. And currently, Jake is also working on getting his masters degree to be a mental health therapist as his passion for helping others on their path to their best selves runs deep.     Emotional Regulation with Sport Psychologist and Mental Performance Coach, Maddy Wood

    On today’s episode, we are joined by Maddy Wood, a sport psychologist and mental performance coach at Missouri Rush Soccer club. Maddy herself played soccer for Missouri Rush before going on to play at the collegiate level at Millikin University where she graduated with her bachelor’s in psychology and a minor in health and wellness coaching. She then continued her education at Georgia Southern University receiving her masters in Sport and Exercise Psychology while getting to work with athletes across multiple sports from middle schoolers all the way to Division 1 athletes. Upon moving back to Missouri, Maddy started working at Missouri Rush Soccer Club as their mental performance coach, providing education and support for the staff, the teams, as well as individuals.     Anchored In Faith: Persevering And Finding Purpose Through Life’s Ups And Downs With Restaurant Owners Cori and Cami Breen

    On today's episode, we are joined by Cori and Cami Breen, two women who have been building something together their whole lives. Cori and Cami are sisters, daughters, moms, entrepreneurs and their story starts before either of them was born. Their parents opened their first restaurant in 1981 alongside their grandma, Stefanina. From grade school on, they were making lasagna, bussing tables, and learning what it means to work hard and love people well. When their parents retired in 2018 they took a leap of faith and kept the family legacy alive. That’s where The Grotto Grill, their restaurant, was born. Together they are proof that faith, family, and work ethic are a foundation you can build anything on even when life throws you curveballs.
