Alessia and Ione

Ione and Alessia are 20-something recent college grads living in the Big Bean (Boston) who like to drive around (in a hybrid bc we care about the environment) and (over)share. Tune in to hear every thought that pops into their heads on every subject you can have an opinion on which, we hear, is all of them.

    POD-ketful of Sunshine

Ha ha is there anything important going on this week??? Nothing to worry about except listening to this podcast!! We hope this episode will be a teeny ray of sunshine emanating from the pocket of your life (phone). Please enjoy two gals waxing poetic about their love for the little things (& the free/potentially stolen? things). P.S. listening while refreshing the New York Times live election results optional, and NOT encouraged. :)

    The Real Reason We're Friends

In this episode, we took everything we learned from years of English classes and our expensive liberal arts college days and applied those critical thinking skills to the most important part of our friendship: country music. Enjoy our analysis of lyrics that are straight-up problematic, sneaky bad, and good* (*not actively perpetuating harmful ideas about gender roles and/or women). For legal reasons, all opinions expressed are our own and also these are songs/artists we appreciate, so please don't be mad @Thomas Rhett.

    Fluoride: the Gay Communist Agenda

Today's episode is all about conspiracy theories: who killed Princess Diana? Was HIV/AIDS manufactured? Is Outback Steakhouse the Illuminati? (yes). Tune in to get... no answers to these questions!

    Ione's Screws are Loose

On a very special episode of Rideshare (because every episode is special, duh), tune in to hear our thoughts on the VP debates! (bad) Politics and humor! (undecided) Maine and small towns! (good!) Homophobia, internalized! (bad) Heteronormativity! (also bad) If you need more detail than that - and trust me, you do - click play!

    Gesturing about Gestation

Our idea well really ran dry this week, but thank goodness we have some followers who care about us enough to respond to our desperate pleas for topic suggestions (if you hate this episode, you can't blame us tho). Sit back and relax as you listen to us respond to your ideas in the most chaotic episode to date. Enjoy!

    BookTalk BookTok

After news broke this week about a certain individual's taxes, we decided to take advantage of this newly discovered loophole about business expenses (aka there are no rules apparently) and discuss one of our favorite things: books. From now on, we'll write off our bookstore purchases since they're integral to our business's success. Thank you in advance to the IRS for being chill.

Just a Lot of Unqualified Political Takes

Listen to us go through all the ranges of human emotion in the span of one episode over approximately two days!! It would've been one day but we got too drunk to communicate our thoughts properly in our grief and had to try, try again. The original intent of this episode was derailed by the genuinely tragic passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who we will miss dearly. We talk about our thoughts on the #currentpoliticalclimate, bipartisanship and judicial biases, aaaand (to try and lighten the mood) a really regrettable date with a really regrettable dude.

    (Conditional) Love Languages

Will every episode from now on be about love languages?? Tune in to find out!!! #clickbait. After seven (7) long episodes we finally decided to let you listen to someone else's unqualified opinions!! Tune in to hear us and two (2) surprise guests (hint: it's Tamara Botteri and Michael Benjamin Atkins, who somehow weaseled his way into an episode he wasn't invited to) list, forget, rinse, and repeat all five (5) love languages approximately eight (8) times. And now, we'll leave you with this final thought: would you love your child if they were a serial killer? #conditionallovehoursonly2021
