    Too Embarrassing...

Your stomach drops, your face gets hot, and all you can think is, “I cannot believe I just did that.” Embarrassment hits fast, and it can feel way bigger than the moment itself, like it rewrites how you see yourself. Today, we sit with that feeling honestly and talk about how to move through it without letting shame drive the rest of your day. I share a story about a young man traveling abroad for the first time who gets warned about pickpockets in a packed subway. When someone bumps him, he’s sure his wallet is gone, so he grabs the guy’s coat and pulls it right out as the train doors close. The problem is, the wallet isn’t there and the whole scene becomes its own kind of public mess. It’s funny when you hear the ending, but it also nails what anxiety does in real time: it convinces us we’re in danger, pushes us into a rushed reaction, then leaves us feeling foolish afterward. From there, we shift to what Scripture offers when you’re replaying your worst moment. We talk about how the disciples had their own embarrassing failures and misunderstandings, and how Jesus didn’t treat their awkwardness as disqualifying. Then we anchor in Isaiah 41:10, a powerful promise for fear, shame, and anxious spirals: God is with you, God strengthens you, and God helps you stand back up. If you’ve been carrying embarrassment, regret, or that lingering “I can’t believe I said that,” come listen and breathe again. Insight From One With No Sight

A blind beggar sits outside Jericho, listening to footsteps and rumors, wondering if life will ever change, and then he hears the name that rewrites his future: Jesus. I walk through the story of Bartimaeus from Mark 10:46-52 and the moment he decides hope is worth getting loud about, even when the crowd tells him to be quiet. We talk about what makes Bartimaeus so relatable: long days of limitation, the ache of waiting, and that feeling that your “destiny” has already been decided. Then we zero in on the turning point, when he cries out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me,” and refuses to quit. That single act captures a powerful picture of persistent prayer, Christian faith, and spiritual resilience, especially when other voices try to shame you, rush you, or distract you from what matters most. I also reflect on Jesus’s direct question, “What do you want me to do for you?” and why Bartimaeus’s clear answer, “I want to see,” challenges us to be honest about what we are really asking God for. Along the way, I connect the story to Psalm 71:5 and the daily practice of anchoring our confidence and hope in Jesus Christ alone, even when the world feels full of uncertainty. If you need practical encouragement to keep calling out to God and to tune out the noise, press play. Bulldozer for God

God doesn’t sit on a throne waiting to grant demands like a genie and that one truth changes how we pray, work, and give. We start with a hard reset on expectations, then zoom out to a powerful biblical pattern: God often chooses to build His kingdom through people, not shortcuts. If you’ve ever wondered why your prayers feel unanswered, or whether your daily job has spiritual value, this conversation gives you a grounded, hopeful way to think about purpose. We walk through the Old Testament picture of prophets and priests leading with God’s word while kings lead and provide resources so the work can actually happen. That lens makes room for a kind of Christian calling that doesn’t always get celebrated: supporting ministry. Not everyone is meant to preach or plant churches, but many are meant to strengthen the mission through generosity, funding, leadership, and steady behind-the-scenes provision. It’s Christian stewardship with a clear goal: keep the gospel moving. Then we tell the story of R. G. LeTourneau, a Christian entrepreneur who dropped out of school at fourteen, became a legendary inventor in earth-moving machinery, and built his life around Matthew 6:33. He called God “the chairman of the board,” gave away an astonishing portion of his income through the LeTourneau Foundation, and proved that marketplace ministry can shape nations while still aiming at one thing: glorifying God. If you want a practical example of faith and work coming together, this is it.
