    People Power: Real G's Move When Silenced with Maya Brown

    In this episode DJ is joined by Maya Brown, 30 under 30 Rising Star in Florida Politics, campaign consultant, entrepreneur AND also from the crib, DeLand, Florida! We discuss how she became so interested in politics and why being silenced pusher her to start her own business (6:10), her recent success during the Florida primaries (8:01), and the multitude of voter suppression tactics out there (18:30). We also talk about what’s on the ballot in Florida including Amendment 3: All Voters Vote (37:58) which impacts young people who have no party affiliation and will all but eliminate Black representation, another amendment to watch out for (41:40) that will require constitutional amendments to be passed twice is Florida Amendment 4, and the importance of local voting on the cannabis industry (44:06).
