Trucking Tributes: Sherri Garner Brumbaugh ⎯ From An Eagle Scout Project, To A Family Tradition

Susan Patten highlights the people who keep the Wreaths Across America mission moving. Professional drivers and carriers make it possible for millions of families to honor veterans each December. In 2024, drivers delivered 800 truckloads of wreaths, supported by more than 390 carriers and partners. These deliveries reached over 4,900 participating locations, including Arlington National Cemetery. Susan shares how many drivers are veterans and view these loads as the most meaningful work of their careers. She walks through the scale of the logistics, the unity it creates in the busiest season of the year, and the pride drivers feel when they help families remember and honor service members. This edition focuses on the story of Sherri Garner Brumbaugh of Garner Trucking. Susan explains how the company grew from a single truck, how Sherri found her path back to the family business, and how she stepped into leadership. You learn how she built her career, how she encourages women to enter the industry, and how she continues to give back. Sherri describes how her family embraced the Wreaths Across America mission and how a simple Eagle Scout project grew into a large community effort. Today, Garner Trucking brings a full truckload of wreaths to Northwest Ohio each year and supports seven cemeteries. Susan shares how the Honor Fleet values feedback from carriers and how the experience has improved over the last decade. Learn more at https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/ Thanks for tuning in!
