Skylar Grey

Scott talks to 5-time Grammy nominee Skylar Grey about her incredible career that branches from solo artist to one of the world’s most prominent songwriters. They start with her upbringing in Wisconsin, where she was in her first folk band with her mother at age 6. She moved to LA at 17, got her first record deal, then lost it all. After going broke and moving to Oregon to work at a gallery part-time, Skylar wrote the song “Love The Way You Lie” – later released by Eminem and Rihanna. Skylar breaks out the piano and performs the chorus, giving listeners goosebumps.
