Introducing Leila Hormozi: Feel Like You’re Working Hard but Not Getting Ahead? (Use THIS Simple Filter to Focus on What ACTUALLY Makes You Money) from On Purpose with Jay Shetty. Follow the show: On Purpose with Jay Shetty We spend so much time waiting to feel ready, not realizing that confidence only comes after we begin. Today, Jay sits down with Leila Hormozi to explore what truly drives success, not just in business but in becoming the person who can sustain it. What emerges is a powerful shift in perspective. Confidence is not something you chase, it is something you earn through competence. Leila shares candid stories from her early struggles with insecurity, rejection, and self-doubt, revealing that real growth begins the moment you stop waiting to feel ready and start taking action anyway. Together, they unpack a hard truth. The path to confidence is built through failure, humility, and the willingness to be seen as “bad” before becoming great. The conversation moves beyond mindset into the mechanics of success, including discipline, leadership, and emotional resilience. Leila reframes discipline not as a personality trait, but as a system you design within your environment, making the right actions easier and the wrong ones harder. Leila also challenges the belief that strategy or market conditions determine success. Instead, she emphasizes that the real differentiator is your ability to manage your mind and emotions under pressure. Through stories of entrepreneurs who lost everything, not because of poor tactics, but because they could not stay grounded, she highlights that inner stability is the true foundation of long-term success. In this episode you'll learn: How to Build Confidence Through Competence How to Take Action Before You Feel Ready How to Turn Rejection Into Growth How to Stay Disciplined Using Simple Systems How to Manage Your Emotions Under Pressure How to Lean Into Discomfort How to Create Consistency That Drives Results How to Lead People Without Losing Trust How to Build a Successful Business Without Losing Your Values How to Focus on What Truly Moves You Forward You don’t need to have everything figured out to move forward, you just need to be willing to start where you are. Growth isn’t about feeling confident every step of the way; it’s about showing up even when you’re unsure, uncomfortable, or afraid. This year's 3rd Annual Radical Family Camp tickets sold out a few weeks ago online, but I had held back a few rooms for volunteers, my family members, etc. However, as those attendee details are now finalized, I've released my last remaining rooms into the sales inventory and am making them available to you: Please go purchase those tickets here: https://form.jotform.com/260097537038158  Would you like to join me, my family, and 250 of my friends for Radical Family camp in a couple of weeks, April 16-19? Here is the room supply I have available for you: -1 cabin (for a large family or your friends) -3 lodge rooms (for up to four) -2 RV spots (bring your own rig) -2 single lady's bunks in the female bunk room (single men's bunk rooms are all sold out) Please go purchase those tickets here: https://form.jotform.com/260097537038158 Here are a few more details for you about the event to help you figure out if you would like to come. The event will be held in Seymour, IN (which is located right between Louisville, KY and Indianapolis, IN) from Thursday, April 16 to Sunday, April 19. This is the third time I've hosted this event and we've had really good reviews from our past attendees. The event is basically a child-friendly business conference; we've got loads of children attending and lots of children's games as well as a bunch of talks for adults. The event is held on the facility of a large church summer camp facility. This gives us loads of fun activities for the children (zip line, canoes on the lake, archery tag, etc.) We have some coordinated child care to free moms and dads up to attend the business talks as well. The theme this year is: "Execute Today, Iterate Tomorrow." The goal is to provide you with a broad panoply of ideas to build successful systems for wealth-building and family-building today and then to iterate your success outward in your community and down through the generations. Here are the scheduled presentations for this year: -"Handling Household Finances as a Productive Couple" by me, Joshua Sheats -"The Pillars of Civilization: Covenant and Sphere Sovereignty" by Gregory Treat (Great Houses Forum) -"Professional Mothering: Practical Skills for Smooth Days" by Claire H. -"Don't Pursue A Legacy; Pursue a Two-Generation Transition" by Tim Yarborough -"Hosting Your Way to a Robust Local Community" by Anna S. -"Let Your Children Jump Off of a Cliff" by Wallace Thomas -"Productive Young Men: How to Build the Foundations of a Career and Business Life That Will Dominate The Future" by Joshua Sheats -"Ruthless Personal Effectiveness: Blunt and Brutal Realities of and Truths of Personal and Family Time Management" by Steven Harris (Knowledge Publications) -"The 100-Year Mindset: Thinking Like the Founder of a Great Family" by Mikkel Thorup (Expat Money) -"The Centrality of the Covenental Household for Success in the Future" by Gregory Treat (Great Houses Forum) -"Using Family Based-Hospitality to Build Your Powerful Household" by Bryana T. -"Managing Household Staff Effectively" by Melissa T. -"Investment Strategies for Building Generational Family Capital" by David Stein (Money For The Rest Of Us) -"Teach Your Children to Govern Themselves: The Foundation of Successful Living" by Andy H. -"Buying & Building Businesses, Starting With Little" by Ben H. -"Money is the Easy Part: Raising Money to Fund Your Projects" by Jordan M. -"Family Business Roundtable: How to Build and Maintain a Business That Will Last Down Through the Generations" -"Getting Started in Real Estate Investing: A Grand Vision and Practical First Steps" by Ryan W. -"Family Traditions, Customs, & Culture: How toBuild a Strong Sense of Identity in Your Family Culture" by Joshua Sheats In addition to these formal presentations we will have many hours of good discussion around the dinner table and campfire together. If these topics interest you at all, please buy a ticket and come! You won't be disappointed. This event has become one of the most anticipated events of my family's year and of many of our participants as well. All of us have become friends at this event over the years and we want to be friends with you as well! Please go to this link and buy your ticket now: https://form.jotform.com/260097537038158 Love, Joshua p.s., We do not allow any off-site attendees to the event. This means that unlike most business conferences, you will have ample time to hang out and discuss things with me and all of our speakers. It's way better than any other conference I go to! We also do not record any of the sessions or discussions--the only way to get access to these talks is to attend them live, in-person. Please come!
