    This week’s Sheepfiddlers podcast has a bit of everything, heat, humour and the usual dose of Dons induced stress. Quanny, Al, Chris and Liam kick things off with the latest from Aberdeen FC, and there’s no shortage of talking points. Form, selection questions, and the general direction of the club all get put under the microscope. No soft edges here, just honest takes and a bit of back and forth when opinions inevitably clash. The Scottish Cup semi-final chat brings a mix of cautious optimism and realism. There’s a sense the occasion matters just as much as the result, but they don’t shy away from the tactical concerns or what Aberdeen need to actually compete at that level. Then it pivots to the situation involving Michael Stewart and his ban from Hampden Park. This sparks a more argumentative segment, less agreement and more edge. The group dig into whether it’s justified or just another example of football authorities overreaching, and it’s probably the most debated heavy part of the episode. Looking ahead, the preview of the Kilmarnock FC game is grounded but not exactly brimming with confidence. They break down where the game could be won or lost, but there’s an underlying question none of them can fully answer: which version of Aberdeen is going to show up? And then, as always, the tone shifts. The “John Bleatin” section returns, equal parts running joke and catharsis. Followed by “Bleat of the Week,” where listeners (and sometimes the hosts themselves) get called out. It keeps the podcast from tipping too far into pure analysis and reminds you this is still about fans venting as much as it is about football. Overall, it’s a balanced episode: serious when it needs to be, but never taking itself too seriously for long. If anything, the interesting tension is that they clearly care a lot but don’t fully agree on what the solutions are. That’s where it’s strongest.
