Teddy Sheringham: Sir Alex's fines, Ange's future & losing the 'Gerrard Final'

Joe Cole and Ashley Cole are back with episode 2 of Football’s Greatest: Could It Be Magic? and this time they’re focussing on one of the best weekends in the football calendar - the FA Cup 3rd round. Former Tottenham, Manchester United, West Ham and England striker Teddy Sheringham is with them and reflects on his win with United in 1999 and the Hammers’ heartbreaking defeat on penalties to Liverpool in 2006. He also reveals why he’s backing Ange Postecoglu’s management at Spurs and what Manchester United must do to return to the top of English football. Jas Singh, captain of non-league Tamworth, joins them to discuss the secret weapons that could help them turn over Tottenham and Accrington Stanley manager John Doolan ponders how his side will try and stop Mo Salah at Anfield. And with Ashley Young set to play against his son Tyler when Everton face Peterborough, Joe, Ash and Teddy debate what they would do if their kid was through on goal and they were the last man: do you let him score or do you take him out? Wem-ber-lee, annoying Drogba and being put off by Mick Jagger | Could It Be Magic Episode 1

Ashley Cole has won the FA Cup more than any other footballer ever. 7 (SEVEN) times. Only a handful of clubs have won it more than he has, and he played for two of them. Oh, and he was also the best left back in the world. Ask CR7. Joe Cole was probably the first footballer to be known nationwide before he’d even kicked a ball professionally. A baller full of tricks, feints and skill, the kind of player who would give opponents nightmares before the match. He lifted the cup twice during his career during a glittering spell at Chelsea. These two pals and former team-mates have come together with Carling, the beer of football, for a new show all about the best club competition in the world. In this first episode, they recall their first trips to Wembley, how Mick Jagger may have put Joe off in the 2007 Final, why you didn't mess with Didier Drogba before a game, a very direct pep talk from Martin Keown and how Ashley felt leaving Arsenal for Chelsea in 2006. Next Generation | "We'd never seen anyone like Cristiano Ronaldo"

In the final episode of the series, Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes look at some of the key players in the later years of the Fergie era. They remember the first time they came up against Cristiano Ronaldo and why he used to frustrate his team-mates, how Scholesey helped persuade Wayne Rooney to sign and why it all kicked off between Patrice Evra and some of the ground staff at Chelsea. As well as players who became legends, they look at one or two who didn't live up to expectations, why it never worked out for them and how harshly players could be judged from day one at United. They also discuss the current squad and ask who are the leaders and whether there's too much pressure on the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo. Nicky and Paul recall the final years of their careers: why did Newcastle go down when Nicky was there? What convinced Scholesey to retire for good? And what do they miss most about football? 95-96: Our First Title | "That's it, we're dead. Everyone's gonna hate us."

This week Nicky and Paul are taking you back to 1995-96: the season of Cantona's return, grey kits, Keegan's rant and, of course, "You'll never win anything with kids". Nicky and Paul recall their reactions when they heard Hughes, Ince and Kanchelskis had been sold and how they felt after getting well beaten at Aston Villa on the opening day. They discuss Eric Cantona's comeback against Liverpool and how he got different treatment from Sir Alex, how they whittled down Newcastle's 12-point lead and they remember the manager's furious reaction at Southampton and why he ordered them to change their shirts at half-time. Elsewhere, Nicky reveals how a bet with Kevin Keegan at Newcastle ended with a load of 2ps on the manager's desk, he and Paul discuss how they felt battling one another for a place in the team during their United careers and who was singing their own song on the way back from Middlesbrough after the league was won?
