    Today we are blessed to have Jeromy Hoffee on the podcast! Jeromy is a gifted musician who has taught thousands of singers and musicians across America. He currently serves as the Director of UPCI Music Ministry. We had a great conversation about his life and ministry. We discussed the importance of serving in the local church, the resurgence of apostolic songwriting,  the balance between excellence in music ministry and spiritual sensitivity, and much more. ---------- Takeaways Jeromy Hoffee grew up in a musical church environment and he transitioned from playing bass to piano in his late teens. The local church played a crucial role in his musical development. Hoffee emphasizes the importance of serving in the local church. He believes that God places desires in our hearts for a reason. Apostolic music is essential for expressing the church's message. The quality of apostolic music has improved significantly in recent years. Hoffee encourages young musicians to invest in their local church. Apostolic songs focus more on God than self. There's a wealth of quality apostolic music available. Excellence in music ministry is important but should not overshadow spiritual sensitivity. Production should not replace prayer in worship services. Comparison can detract from joy in ministry. Influence in ministry is a powerful responsibility. Prayer life is essential for musicians and singers. The goal of worship is to create an atmosphere for God to move.
