Would you help an elderly lady having a meltdown in a supermarket or walk on by?

This is a story of an event that happened at Kroger's Grocery today Aug 3, 2020. A good store, but today the system was failing one elderly woman, obviously fresh out of a medical center, with signs of IV and blood tests, on her arms. She wanted to check out 6 items, and held the shopping cart like it was a walker. No cashier at the check out stand, the only one with a light on. She couldn't navigate the self-checkout, she was panicking. Why no one stepped forward? Why did I step forward? What would you do? In our True Storytelling Ethics seminar, relook at Busch such incidents as examples. What would you do in the once-occurrent eventness of Being? Help or walk on by?

Why is Cancer Time is an Illusion?

I create my experience of cancer-time.You Storytelling creates your experience of time. We set ourself and others in the past, which does not exist, or in the future that also does not exist, or in the Now, which obviously does not exist. Sure there is clock time and mathematical time, and time Einstein's 4th dimension of space, etc. Plots have a beginning middle end (BME), but that is so arbitrary. Events and characters are tossed aside to create the illusion of linear plot. I don't buy BME, I am going to be stage 4 cancer survivor. I know it's radical to survive cancer. Think about it. People are in different spacetime slices (says Einstein), and experience time differently. Close to quit time, time drags on, in the waiting room its so slow, but having fun or doing art, we lose all sense of time. When I am getting an operation, and am put under anesthesia, I lose all sense of time. I go to sleep with an IV in my arm, I wake up in recovery room, without a memory of the operation. How You can Antenarrate Cancer Storytelling?

Watch for the alternative futures. They pop up in the now. Restory the past. I am no longer a cancer victim. I am a cancer survivor. Find moments where you make that choice to accept a new treatment, take a new pat. This is what antenarrative is all about. It is moving into a future that is arriving, one different than what the mainstream tells you is the only outcome. I started being told I would die in a few years, and by taking other pathways, I am now in a miraculous clinical trial for a new medication, not yet on the market, a potential cure for stage four prostate cancer. A few decades ago, the prostate was surgically removed, these days most reputable clinics try androgen deprivation therapy, unless the cancer breeches the walls of the prostate (in my case), but guess what, a new procedure, says, there is a new strategy. Attack the main colony in the prostate, deprive it of its food source, then the other colonies (e.g. in the lymph nodes) lack resources to survive. I'm no doctor. But the experts say this can work. Brief intro to what is antenarrative? There are 7 antenarrative processes: beneath, before, bets on future, Being, becoming, between (the who's), and beyond. There is an ocean of antenarrative process fragments, and only a few form narratives (or stories), so what is going on in the vast ocean of discourse that is not constitutive of narratives (or stories)? That is the unexplored question of storytelling organization relation to antenarrative processes. My work is applicable to organizationals of all types. How learning to mount my unicycle helps me mount the radiation table?

Last night was restless, uncomfortable, and unsettling. Lots of trips to bathroom. So today I switched into Unicycling world. Got to Target to buy a tire pump. I learned to get on, and get off. One accident to flesh on calf with some blood. Oh Well. I learned to wear those skate gear pads I bought. I wear them on my calves not my knees. Knees is not the problem to solve right now. I learn to balance on unicycle, so I get into balance with the cancer treatment. I did the simulation yesterday, the measurements for the actual radiation, which begins next Friday. Honestly I hope that simulation is scarier than the real thing. We shall see. I hope you can learn to find balance, harmony in your life. You can choose which architectonic world to be in, and jump from one world to the next. In my case, I unicycle. All the best

How I am doing after day 1 radiation and getting chiropractic adjustment?

Yesterday was day 1 of radiation therapy at MD Anderson Cancer Clinic. I have stage 4 prostate cancer, and I am glad to report, day one was awesome. I had to learn how to hold a lot more wate than usual, and managed to figure out a way that worked for me. I also got to a chiropractor, who did something amazing. I have not been able to walk more than a block without numbness, shooting pain, etc. in left leg. But it turns out that my right leg has been getting weak (due to lots of structural out-of-alignment), and my left leg has been doing most of the work when I walk. He did what's called muscle testing, and it turns out it was the right leg that needed to be able to do more to keep me in balance. Why is this true storytelling? Because in both events of this day, there are many possibilities,, many hypotheses, but finding what's true is about weeding out what is not working. Now that I see light at the end of these tunnels, its time to change the plot and make a new bet on the future.
