Beach Tag Rules 🏖️ Ocean City NJ

Why Beach tags? Beach tags are required in most municipalities along the New Jersey coastline. They are a user fee to help offset the local municipalities cost of maintaining their beaches and providing lifeguards and other services such as trash removal, beach cleaning and the purchase of needed equipment and police protection. The cost of these items and all of the other beach benefits are supported by this user fee known as the beach tag. The beach fee program was approved by the residents of Ocean City in 1976 and continued since that time to help offset all of the costs associated with the beach. 2022 Ocean City ♻️ Green Fair

Ocean City will host a Green Fair under the covered loggia of the Ocean City Music Pier from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2022. The community-wide event is designed to educate and encourage people of all ages to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle. Green Fairs allow participants to learn how small individual efforts can make a huge difference in their communities. The Green Fair is sponsored by the City of Ocean City and the Ocean City Environmental Commission. A sampling of past exhibitors includes BikeOCNJ.org, The Wetlands Institute, Cape May County Zoo to You, Clean Ocean Action, and the Nature Center of Cape May. Information on sustainable energy will be available from Atlantic City Electric, South Jersey Gas, the New Jersey Clean Energy Program, Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority and others. Representatives of Ocean City will include the Green Team, Environmental Commission, Shade Tree Commission, Community Rating System (for flood insurance), Public Works, and the Public Library.
