Dr. Abidan Shah

Dr. Abidan Shah is the pastor of Clearview Church in Henderson, North Carolina, where he has served faithfully since 1999. He is known for clear, verse-by-verse expository preaching that is both deeply theological and easily applicable. Each message is a call to know Christ personally and to grow in Him daily. Abidan Shah immigrated to the United States in 1991. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, he answered God’s call to full-time ministry. He earned a Master of Divinity with Languages and then went on to complete his Ph.D. in New Testament Textual Criticism with a focus on retrieving the original text of the New Testament. He currently serves as a Teaching Fellow at Carolina University in Winston-Salem, NC, and has presented several scholarly research articles at the National Evangelical Theological Society. Having lived 17 years in India and over 30 years in the United States, Abidan brings a unique perspective on faith, values, and politics—one shaped by both Eastern and Western worldviews. His doctoral work on the impact of postmodernism on biblical studies provides a deep insight into the shifting philosophical and cultural landscape of our time. Under Abidan’s leadership, Clearview Church has experienced tremendous growth. In recent years, the church has expanded into new facilities to accommodate several rapidly growing ministries. His passion for outreach also extends beyond the local church. Dr. Shah lives in Henderson, NC with his wife, Nicole. Nicole, whose father also served in pastoral ministry for 30 years before passing away from cancer, spent part of her early life on the mission field in Chile. Together, they have four children: Rebecca, Abigail, Nicholas, and Thomas.
