(S3E17) Pack Dynamics: A Teen Wolf Podcast - Silverfinger

You know what Teen Wolf needs more of? Lore. In 3×17, "Silverfinger," we flash back in time to Chris Argent's first real gun deal, learning he's had more experience with the Oni than anyone expected. The Argent side of the McCall pack look to find an old contact named Katashi, who may have Very Important Lore And Information. In return, Chris plans to give him an old French rifle… which turns out to be a weapon used to murder a werewolf (huh, I wonder if that'll come back later). Meanwhile, the McCall side of the McCall pack is trying to protect Scott from getting attacked by the Oni, and it's going swimmingly. Stiles is exhibiting all kinds of anxiety-inducing behavior, startlingly similar to a list of symptoms exhibited by his now-dead mother. Agent McCall threatens the Sheriff and ends up with a gnarly shoulder wound (unrelated), Stiles checks himself into the hospital and ends up calling Melissa "mom" (unrelated), and, when approached by the Oni, Stiles seems to be the only one who can stop it before it draws the kanji on his head. Weird. Glee on the Rocks: 5x19 - “Old People, Puppies, and Actual Continuity”

This week on Glee on the Rocks, we cover 5x19, “Old Dog, New Tricks,” the Chris Colfer-written detour that somehow works because it’s old people, puppies, and just enough Rachel to keep the season’s chaos limping forward. Rachel tries to rebrand her image after Broadway gossip exposes her Funny Girl mess by hiring Santana as a ruthless publicist and inventing an animal-rescue charity event called Broadway Bitches, complete with a disastrous pap walk that ends with her getting dragged down the street by dogs. Correct, honestly. Meanwhile, Kurt, feeling left behind while everyone else gets careers, scandals, showcases, and/or strange rich lady mentorships, finds purpose at the Lexington Home for Retired Performers. He auditions for Peter Pan, gets pulled into Maggie’s story, and makes one very questionable attempt to reconcile her with her estranged daughter. Sounds about Kurt. And then there’s Sam, Mercedes, and McConaughey the dog, which gives us one of the rarest Glee miracles of all: someone remembering Sam’s actual backstory. Also happening in this episode: ⭐️ Rachel Berry attempting public image rehab while continuing to be Rachel Berry👠 Santana Lopez as unpaid publicist, crisis manager, and professional hater with a cause🎭 Kurt joining a retirement home production of Peter Pan and accidentally pitching us a spin-off we would absolutely watch🐶 Sam adopting McConaughey without asking Mercedes, and the surprisingly adult conversation that follows Did we love every song? Absolutely not. Did every plot point make sense? Please, this is still Glee. But did we enjoy watching this one more than expected? Somehow, yes. xoxo,FotR

Glee on the Rocks: S5E4 - Pitting Women Against Each Other

This week on Glee on the Rocks we're parsing one of the greatest questions of human history: are you a Katy or are you a Gaga? This is S5E4, "A Katy or a Gaga." Nationals is looming and the latest competition, Throat Explosion, are stepping on the New Directions' niche of being "outsiders." Instead of dividing the New Directions into boys and girls for this week's Glee Club lesson, Mr. Schue opts to separate them into "Katy Perrys" and "Lady Gagas" in order to push them out of their comfort zones. It makes sense in the episode...kind of. Over in New York, Kurt Hummel is on a mission to get our of his own comfort zone and cross an item off his NYC bucket list by starting a band. Bonus Episode: 9-1-1 Mini Series #4

Hello, Fire Fam. We're back with another 9-1-1 Mini Series episode because, frankly, too much happened in 8x09 and 8x10 to not talk about. We have to give it up for Scream Queen of the Aughts, Jennifer Love Hewitt, for fully bringing it during her latest banana nut story line, even if we have critiques about it being a little recycled. We also lament the loss the quirky procedural 911 calls from the early seasons and hope for their return to bring some levity back to the show in the midst of all this drama. But more importantly, we're here to discuss the Buddie Of It All. We explore the dramatic implications of Eddie's move to El Paso and how it affects Buck, even if Eddie isn't quite ready to truly see what's going on between them. Call us shippers, but the story on the screen certainly seems to be leading us down an old, familiar road. But where does the road end?

This is S3E11, "Michael." The New Directions run through a small piece of the Michael Jackson catalogue, while Kurt and Rachel get news about NYADA. Kurt and Sebastian fight for Blaine's affection and attention, causing a rift between the Glee Club and the Warblers that results in Darren Criss appearing on Broadway. Also, Smooth Criminal. Which Mandy wouldn't understand because somehow she missed the MJ train. We forgive though. This episode features returning guest Ambre, coming back to tell the facts about Samcedes. Glee on the Rocks: S5E9 - Gleenamies

Everyone's feuding again this week on Glee on the Rocks. This is S5E9, "Frenemies." Glee once again raises the age old question: are these people even friends at all? Probably not. Artie and Tina, two of our New Directions OGs, compete for both Senior Class Valedictorian and a solo at Nationals. Which...is a like a week or two away. You'd think they'd have this set list locked up by now. In NYC, Santana decides to audition for the role of understudy in Funny Girl. Rachel's Funny Girl. Rachel's dream role that only she gets to play, apparently. And Rachel takes it very, very well. (She doesn't.) This revives their own feud that has never actually died.
