War Without Bombs: Ministry Growth, Missions Month, and Moving Forward in Serbia

In this update, we share how God is working through our church in Serbia, from completing 12 weeks of new member lessons to the joy of seeing someone come forward for baptism. We talk about the growing unity during “Servant Sundays,” a surprise discipleship connection with a family from Mexico, and our largest outreach yet across three open-air markets. We also update you on our search for a larger meeting space, the challenges of rapid growth, and our upcoming fall campaign themed “If God Exists, Then Why?” You’ll hear how the Russia, Ukraine war continues to shape our congregation, and how the Lord is using your prayers and support to strengthen His work in the Balkans.

Strengthening the Church & Spreading Seeds

Greetings from Serbia! Over the past two months, we’ve seen God’s hand at work as our church family grows, both spiritually and in life. We’ve shared the Gospel with visitors during Serbia’s Christmas season, traveled to Romania to support a fellow church, and celebrated two baptisms. As we prepare for furlough, we’ve introduced Servant Sunday to help our church members grow in leadership, and we’ve started monthly outreach trips to reach believers in towns without solid churches. We also had the blessing of visiting missionaries in Hungary, strengthening one another in the work of the Gospel. Please pray for continued growth, open hearts, and wisdom as we move forward in ministry. Thank you for your prayers and support!

English Class: - Introduction of a new English class initiative led by you and your wife, supported by church members. - Purpose and goals of the class are to enhance language skills and foster community bonding. 4. To the River and beyond!

Summary of Recent Activities: Two months ago, Brother Ben Decker visited us, bringing great encouragement to our Russian Christian community. We’ve held membership classes, emphasizing salvation and proper baptism, and were blessed to baptize Regiani in the river. Our church services have moved to hotel conference rooms, and we’ve been blessed with growing attendance. We continue to seek a permanent meeting space. Our fellow missionary family has returned home, and we request prayers for their safety. On the family front, we look forward to visits from Kaylin’s family and our pastor in the coming months. We’re making progress towards establishing our church as an official Serbian Independent Baptist Church, which will enhance our outreach efforts. Finally, 1,000 New Testaments, along with copies of John and Romans, are being printed for distribution, thanks to the support of many contributing churches.
